Blessed Easter

I love this pretty Easter stamp "Blessed Easter".   This is one of the cards we will make Saturday at Stamp Camp.  The Stamp is gold embossed on Vellum card stock and colored with markers from behind.  It is really quite pretty in person.

It is easy to use markers to color on vellum and coloring from the back gives a nice soft feel.

Isn't that ruffle trim beautiful? I love it!  This is Strawberry Slush and it is gorgeous.

In this picture you can see on the green leaves how you can get darker tones with your markers.  Once your first pass is dry, go over the areas you want to shade again and you will get those deeper tones.

I wanted the vellum to float a bit, so it is only attached under the pearls.  By not sticking the vellum down all the way you get a nice shadowy effect and the whole card looks soft and fluffy.

Thanks for stopping by today!
