MDS Blog Hop E-Cutter projects

It's MDS Blog Hop time again!  This  month we are working on e-cutter or Hybrid projects.  What is the MDS Blog Hop?  The MDS Blog Hop is a group of linked blogs of 10 demonstrators who love My Digital Studio!  You may have reached me from Cori's blog.  If this is your first stop, follow the links and hop all around until you come back to start.  This week we are showcasing our E-Cutter or Hybrid projects.  I got an e-cutter for Christmas this year and it has been sitting unused since then, so this was the perfect challenge for me.  And, since it was a Christmas gift and we got a huge snowfall yesterday (can you believe it?) I decided to make a Christmas project.
As I was searching through my Christmas stamps thinking what I would like to cut, I came across Dasher.  When the Dasher stamp came out a few years back I really loved it.  Those antlers are so great.  The stamp was only a few inches tall, maybe 2 1/2 ?   I thought it would be great if it was larger. That's the beauty of digital stamps.  I made Dasher a full 9 inches tall!  I cut it out with my Cameo Silhouette, to use as a stencil.   I laid the stencil on a piece of Modern Medley DSP and used Early Espresso and Encore Gold ink on it, applied with sponges.

I also added a circle of Red Glimmer Paper to his nose.

I cut the word "Believe" out with my E-Cutter as well.  This is a stamp from the Snowflake Soiree Download.   I thought it needed something behind the letters to help them stand out, so I added a banner in Vellum that was aged with some Crumb Cake ink.

Now that I am done with my stencil I can always save it to use again, or I can flip it over and use it with some glitter paper to make another project.  Fun!

I can also use the cut out image!   Three ways to use one cut!

Well, I hope that you like my first E-cutter project.  I hope to get more chances to play around with it and learn all that it can do.  I hope that you will continue on our hop and head over to Holly's blog, where I am sure you will find something great to inspire you!
