Party Hats!!

These little hats are so fun!! So cute!  I used the Cutie Pie Thinlits die and instead of a cake, I made a party hat!
They make me smile!

The box is quite simple, just cut out with the die and fold, so I wont show you that.

To make the fringe around the bottom of the hat I cut a piece of Cherry On Top Cotton Paper, sort of a heavier tissue paper, and folded it in half.  I then used the fringe scissors to cut all along the paper, not quite but so close to the fold.  I then added tear tape to the very bottom and wrapped it around the hat.  Once it was on the hat I used my fingers and a bone folder to curl and separate the fringes.

I then curled the strip up, every once and a while adding a dot of glue to keep it from unraveling.

Once the whole strip was curled up, I added some glue to my silicone sheet.  Do you have one of these?  Super awesome for making things will long dry times with glue or hot glue.
I just made a big glob of glue and stuck the end of the roll into the glue.  This will stick the roll together without adding bulk to the sides.

Let it dry for a bit.

puff out the fringes and peel it off the silicone sheet.

This box is a nice size. Some boxes are so big and you feel the need to fill them with lots of little things.  This box will nicely fit chocolate kisses, some play rings or bouncy balls, silly erasers, things like that.

There is a video to show  you how to put this box together, as well as some fun samples that you can create.  Check it out!

Thanks for stopping by!! As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions!
