Ok, just a couple more cards with the Thoughtful Branches set

I saw several fun cards that used the tree from the Thoughtful Branches bundle as coral.  I thought that was a fun idea and I kept meaning to give it a go, but never got around to it.  Yesterday I had a bit of time so I thought I would whip up a couple.

This first card is very simple. I cut the tree out in Calypso Coral (of course) .  I let the paper from the By The Shore collection do all the work for the background.  It also dictated the rest of the colors for the card.  I used Mint Macaron for the fish and Dapper Denim on the sentiment.

This next card had a few more steps and if I had more time I would have done a little more on the details, maybe sponge the background, add more coral, cut out shells or something.   I really wanted to post the idea though and since today is the last day to get the Thoughtful Branches Bundle, I decided to just post it as is.

The card has a fun clear panel that exposes a little bit of the fun detail to the inside. I saw this idea on Pinterest.  I sure have been talking a lot about Pinterest lately :)

To sponge the inside I used some Post-it notes to mask off the area I wanted to stamp.

The base is a standard size, but I cut out a strip from the front and added a window sheet behind it. I then added some cardstock embossed with the Seaside Textured embossing folder.

This last card was inspired by a card from Mary Fish, you can see her card here.

The Happy Halloween and bat are from a set that will be released on Thursday called Spooky Fun.

Stampin' Up! has said that they still have a little bit of stock left on the Thoughtful Branches Bundle and sill continue to sell it for a few more days.  After the stock is depleted the set will be retired.  I think this is a really fun and versatile product and I know you are going to love it.
Since I wont be showing it at classes once it's retired I will send out the samples I have been making to anyone who places an order for this bundle today and through the rest of the week.  I will send out a few to each, if there was one you wanted let me know.

Thoughtful Branches ~ Almost Gone!

Hi Everyone!  I wanted to share another Thoughtful Branches card before its too late!  The Stamp set and Dies are limited time and they are going away on August 31st!! Yikes!  I really like this stamp and die set.  You can scroll through past blog posts to see some other projects that I made with this fun set!!

This card is on the simple side and I didn't use the dies at all.  Basic quick stamping for this card!  I think everyone needed an easy one after I had them doing a bunch of dies on another card at Stamp Camp!  I like that this bundle can make simple cards as well as very fancy cards!  Check out the Pinterest Board I set up for this Stamp set.

I also made the inside a bit more special with the simple addition of some Washi Tape. Washi Tape is an easy way to add a nice touch for a tiny additional cost!

That pretty designer paper is from the Blooms and Bliss designer series paper.  So pretty and it highlights the new Sweet Sugar plumb color so nicely.

Final Days to get the Thoughtful Branches set!

Hi everyone! There are just a couple days left to get the Thoughtful Branches stamp set and dies!  I had a lot of fun using this set and I know I will be making some more cards with it for Halloween and Christmas, I just didn't quite get them completed in time to blog about them.  I plan to use the tree branches with out leaves for a spooky Halloween scene, and I also saw a few things on Pinterest where the leaf or blossom bunch can be used for a pumpkin!  I also saw the tree branches as coral for the cute fish set!  If I make them by Wednesday I will be sure to share.  In the meantime go check out this Pinterest board I set up to share cards made with this great set!  I barely scratched the surface with this set!  So pretty and fun! and I love that there are great winter cards and spring flowers and fall and every occasion and stamping style be it fancy or simple!  Really, go check out that Pinterest board!
Here are a couple we made at Stamp Camp on Saturday...
This card was inspired by one from the Pinterest Board by Shannon Lane.  Shannon's card has a winter feel with blue hues and I went with fall. Checking out other cards online is a great way to get some inspiration and you can make your cards the same, or maybe copy a color scheme or a layout.  Or just change up the colors and make it more you!

This card was made with Shimmery White cardstock, hard to photograph but very pretty in person.  I embossed the background with the Woodland Textured Embossing Folder.

Here are some close ups. I love the glimmer paper leaves and the splatter from the Wink of Stella pen.  Sponges were used to add the sunset sky to the circle punch out.

what will you catch in your mason jar?

Hi Everyone!  More jar projects today!   This card is keeping it simple by just using the stamps and not the dies.  I love those little lightning bugs! so cute and my kids love to catch them and put them in jars so I am sure this set will show up on a scrapbook page sometime soon as well! I hand cut the little lid because its pretty simple and it was faster than getting out the big shot and dies.  There is a die for the lightning bugs as well.
I also LOVE the paper I used for the background! so pretty and I am hording it a bit so I cut it down to 3 by 3 so that I could make 4 cards with one sheet.  The paper is from the Serene Scenery Designer Series paper stack.  One side of the paper has a photo of something, like the painted wood in this case, and the back has a pattern.

This paper is so great! Check out what Cindy did with it here!
She used the Sunshine Sayings set that I used yesterday! so pretty, I will be casing that for sure!

I really like the sayings that come with the stamp set, so fun.  The newer size burlap ribbon is great too! Did you notice that is is thinner now?  I like the look of burlap a lot and the thinner size is so much easier to add to a card or scrapbook page, I know I am going to use that a lot.

This next card was completely copied from another demonstrator, also named Elizabeth.  Here is her card.
I saw her card on Pinterest and knew I needed to make one because my daughter loves fairies and there is actually a move where Tinkerbell is caught in a jar by a little girl named....Elizabeth.  Anyway, Jillian really likes that movie so I thought she would really like this card.  Do you see the ribbon I used in the background?  That is a sneak peek of some new Sweet Sugarplum Ribbon that is in the new Holiday Catalog!  The sequins are also in the catalog!  The ribbon is gorgeous!  It comes in a two pack with a roll of Sweet Sugarplum and Silver.  The sequins are Sweet Sugarplum, Soft Sky and White gold!  The ribbon and sequins will not be available to purchase for customers until September.

The Jar of Love bundle comes with dies to cut out both the outside and inside of the jar, making it perfect for shaker cards!

I added some Wink of Stella to the fairy wings, but it is not really noticeable in the photograph.  In real life, the wings shimmer like the ribbon.

Check back again later this week to see what else I catch in my mason jars!!  This is a set of cards that will go out to my August shoppers! Hope you like them!!
