Stitched from the Heart

Hi everyone!  I wanted to share this really great new product that Stampin' Up! is releasing on November 1st!! I really the look of the stitched frames, they are just so homey and add a nice finished look to the shapes.  There are 12 dies in all, a very large set, for just $30.  These are shapes and sizes that will work nicely with so many stamp sets. To make the release even sweeter, Stampin' Up! is going to put a selection of stamp sets on sale at 25% off!  Check out this new video from Stampin' Up! to see this product in more detail.

Here is a list of the stamp sets that will be available at 25% off in November.

Petals and Paisleys

I everyone.  Today I thought I would share a card that we made at Stamp camp a while ago. I  kept meaning to post it, but got caught up in a lot of other projects and this one slipped through the cracks.
I made two versions of this card, a simple and a dressed up.  By just adding a little bit of copper accents you can get a really dressed up card.
The ribbon is from the 3/8 ribbon Trio pack in the Holiday catalog.  You can see it in my supply list below.

We used the Paisleys and Posies stamp set and Framelits for the card, as well as the Petals and Paisleys designer series paper.  The stamps are Photoploymere and we were able to put mulitple stamps onto the block and stamp all the Old Olive shapes a bunch at a time.

To get the scalloped edge I used the Best Badge Punch.  I added a line with a Sharpie on the back of the punch to help me keep the paper straight.
Another tip for making the scallops is to not start the first scallop perfectly at the edge of the card.  You want to have a bit of a scallop on each side, because it will never end up that if you start a scallop at one end, the other end will finish perfectly with a full scallop.  Does that make sense? It just looks better if both sides are partial scallops instead of one full and one partial.

The inside of the card has a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to write your greeting, and a stripe of Petals and Paisley designer series paper to peek through the front behind the scallop.

Pull Up Pouch treats!

Hi Everyone! Today I wanted to show you a fun little treat pouch!  You can make them for just about any occasion and they are inexpensive and easy, which is perfect for little favors that you need to make a lot of, or that might get tossed once the treat is eaten.

I made a quick how to video for this simple treat, I hope you will check it out!

For Halloween I used the Jar of Haunts stamp set to make this pouch of Spider Cider! The letters are from the Labeler Alphabet, a must have in my opinion!  You don't have to worry that you don't have the right saying if you can create your own right? The Paper used here is from the Halloween Night Designer Series paper.
Inside the pouch is a packet of cider mix!

For Thanksgiving or Fall I used the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set, and the Thankful banner from Acorny Thanks.  I love that Scarecrow! The paper is from the Petals and Paisleys Designer Series Paper.

For a Birthday treat I used the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper and the Birthday Fiesta Stamp set. I cut that cut pinata right from the paper!  The Birthday pouch holds a packet of Pop -Rocks, a kid favorite!

And finally a Christmas version using Candy Cane Lane designer series paper.  This is a paper I can't seem to get enough of! I love it and I am so glad that it was part of the buy 3 get 1 free special this month!  Can I make a confession? I actually bought 3 of these!! I did buy 9 get 3 free and of the 9, three were Candy Cane Lane!!  Crazy I know but I have been using it like crazy as you can see from recent blog posts!

Don't miss out on this special, it ends soon!!

Jolly Friends

Hi Everyone! I thought I would share a card I made for a recent swap.  I used the Jolly Friends stamp set from Stampin' Up! and the super fun new Jolly Hat Builder punch! As you can see I still had the Candy Cane Lane designer series paper out on my desk. I seem to have been using that a lot this month.

I used some scraps of watercolor paper for the elf's face.  I used Blushing Bride ink and an Aqua painter to color his face.  I stamped the collar and hat in Whisper White and attached them to the head.  I also used some of the cute little mini Jingle Bells and some Real Red bakers twine!
