Card Buffet

Hi Everyone!  This week I am preparing for my Card Buffet on Thursday.   I got a little bit behind with all the Thanksgiving goings on, so I have no new projects to post! YIKES!  I thought I would let you know a bit about card buffet in case you have never been to one before.  It works like a food buffet in that there is a variety of offerings, and you can make as many or a little as you want.  I usually have 10 different projects to make, maybe more, never less.  Some will be a repeat of the month before but no more than 4 will be repeats.  At the card buffet you choose your cards and then you can sit and make them in your own time, taking the supply box to your table.  This is a casual event where you can sit and chit chat with friends. Come when you can, leave when you need to, any time between 6 and 8:30.  At the card buffet I also have a few Paper Pumpkin kits available for sale, as well as a display of cards from past Stamp Camps, or Blog Posts that are available for purchase.
Cards are $2.50 each or 5 for $10.00  make one of each of the cards or 5 of one 5 of another, what ever combination you want.  New to me? Get your first card free.  If you are a regular attendee but you bring a friend, you'll get one card free.  All supplies are provided.
So far for this month I have 2 Christmas cards, in case you need a few more, and 2 Birthday cards created, and I will be working on the rest today and tomorrow.  I hope you can make it! I hold my events at the Lombard Church of the Nazarene, upstairs room 202.  Contact me for directions.

Well we were told that there was going to be some sort of a deal on Monday and I have been waiting to hear the news! I just received an email from Stampin' Up! and the special is for FREE SHIPPING for ONE DAY ONLY! Monday November 27th.
Stampin' Up! doesn't do that very often so I love it when they do! I have a plan to stock up on my favorite adhesives and some of the colors of cardstock I am running low on, and I go through A LOT of envelopes at my Card Buffet, so I will get a bunch of those as well.  What will you get?   Don't forget that orders can be put toward points for my Frequent Buyer Reward Program that gets you a FREE Stamp Set after enough points.  You can print off a tracking sheet by clicking on the tab under my blog header. If you can't print one out, let me know and I will print one and send it to you.
Let me know if you have questions about this promotion please feel free to let me know!!

Mitten Gift Card Holder

Hi Everyone!  I don't know about you, but I always seem to need gift card holders at Christmas.  It's just so easy to give co-workers or teachers, crossing guard or home helper.  I'm sure I am not alone.
I thought it would be fun to make a gift card holder with the Smitten Mittens bundle!  Isn't that cute?  You could make it fun and brightly colored for younger kids too.  I wanted to use the Be Merry Designer Series Paper because of the cute little mitten pattern.

On the inside I stamped the greeting and some more mittens.  I used a marker to draw in the ties.

I have a YouTube video to show how I put it all together to make the gift card pocket.
Right now the Cable Knit Embossing Folder is on Sale as part of the Online Extravaganza!
Check out all the sale items here.
Here are some other Mitten cards.  This is such a fun bundle of products!

Mitten Penguins!!

Hi Everyone! Today I am making Penguins from mittens!  How cute is that?  I saw a lot of little penguins made from the Smitten Mittens bundle on Pinterest and I knew I had to make some too.
I don't know who originally came up with the idea but I think this card is inspired by Dawn Olchefski.
Right now the Cable Knit embossing folder that I used for the larger penguins hat and the Holly Punch, also on the larger penguins hat, are on sale as part of the Online Extravaganza!
I made a quick how to video...

Hearts Come Home Z-Fold Card

Hi Everyone!  Today I am sharing a card that we made at Stamp Camp this weekend.  It uses the beautiful Hearts Come Home bundle! I just love these delicate village dies.
Making a z-fold card with these dies really shows them off beautifully.

I made a quick video for those of you who like to have step-by-step instructions.

Santa's Sleigh dies

Hi Everyone! Well the Online Extravaganza is in full swing and I thought I would share a few of my favorites that are on sale.  First up are the many many dies that are on sale!  I love this Santa's sleigh die set and you don't even need to have the coordinating stamp set to love them (but they are cute too!).  On this card I just used the dies and a Christmas sentiment from another set, since discontinued but you can use other stamps you may have. You could even substitute the gold ribbon that is on sale right now for an even better deal.
Here is a link to this older video.
Also on sale are thees awesome paper punches.  I love punches so anytime there is one on sale I am happy.   The holly punch is a great accent for cards or tags or scrapbooks, so worth having around.
And this cookie cutter! Love it!
Also on sale are the dragonfly dies and I just really like dragonflies.  So pretty and they eat mosquitoes so what's not to love?
The coffee dies are on sale and I just love these but on this one you should really grab the Merry Cafe set as well, so much fun and you probably know someone who needs a Starbucks gift card for Christmas right?
So check out all that is on sale by clicking here and really take a good look at the dies!
