Tea Bag Holder Party Favors with Just Add Color paper

Hi Everyone. Today I am sharing a 'how to' on my little tea bag holder treats that I showed you a few weeks back.  I kept saying I would make up a how to, but then Christmas and vacation got in the way :)
These are super easy to make, and they are great to give to a friend with the flu or a co-worker, teacher, neighbor, who ever.  They would also be nice table favors at a luncheon.

Here is a quick video how to:

The Just Add Color paper is thick enough for all your coloring styles.  You can Watercolor, marker, colored pencil, and use Stampin' Blends.

For this version I used the new Stampin' Blends to color in the teapot.  Colors here are Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight.
The sentiment is from Ready to Pop.

On this version I used my Aqua Painters and inks to color it in.  Colors used here are Lemon Lime Twist, Fresh Fig, and Berry Burst.   The Sentiment is from Hug in a Mug and it is going to be discontinued on Jan 2nd.

Truly Tailored Spring Occasions sneak peek

Hi Everyone!  Today I am sharing a swap card that I made this week.  I am participating in a swap that is to use all new stamps from the up coming Spring Occasions Catalog.  I elected to use products from the True Gentleman suite.  I love the papers in this collection, and the stamps are very fun too.  The
set has a masculine flair to it, which is somewhat hard to come by in stamps and papers, don't you think?

I took the idea of sprinkling sequins or rhinestones onto a card, but instead used the bow ties, which I cut from one of the patterns of paper.

This suite of products goes live on Januaray 3rd and then I will update this post with links to the actual stamps and paper products in the online store.
In the mean time, check out the video to see the rest of the True Gentleman suite of products.

And, don't forget, there are only a few days left to purchase products from the Holiday catalog.  Products from that catalog retire on January 2nd.  And, the reservation window to reserve your Stamparatus closes at 11:50 PM MT on December 30th.  After that you will need to wait until the Stamparatus is available in the next Annual Catalog on June 1st.  When you reserve your Stamparatus you will be required to enter your credit info, but you will not be charged until your Stamparatus ships.  Contact me with any questions.

One Event Scrapbook

Hi Everyone! I wanted to share a quick post today of one of the gifts I made this Christmas. My family took a trip this summer to Sister Bay Wisconsin with my parents, my sister and her family, and my brother and his family.  It was a group trip to celebrate my parent's 50th wedding anniversary.  Sister Bay was chosen as it was were my parents had their honeymoon, and because it has been a family holiday spot for several generations.

I complied photos from all 4 groups, because while we did a lot of things together we also did things in smaller groups during the week.  I printed out the photos 4 each and made 4 scrapbooks, one for each household.
This was the cover, pretty simple, made with the Large Letter Framelits and Adhesive sheets.
I made a bow with some discontinued ribbon in Lost Lagoon as it matched my mom's decor.

This was the inside opening page.  I copied the idea from Tami Hewlett.  You can see her post here. http://swimminginstamps.com/gone-fishing-gdp103/
Tami and I used to do a digital scrapbooking blog hop together, Hi Tami!!

The inside uses pocket pages and I wont show you all of those as they are filled with photos by others and of others who may not want to be online, but it was a fun project to put together and I think using these smaller 6 x 8 books is a great idea for a single occasion book, such as a family vacation or a wedding, reunion, or whatever event you are celebrating.  I filled in the pockets with lots and lots of photos and gave each family an assortment of Memories and More cards so that they could write down their own thoughts and memories in the spaces I provided.   I also included a page with a few photos from when my grandmother and her family were vacationing there in the 1940's.

Fun and Fast Tag

Hi Everyone!  I have just fast posts this week.  I am still getting ready for Christmas.  I still have presents to buy and wrap, and cookie dough to make and bake.  Dinner to plan! Yikes! I don't know how I got so behind.
As I was wrapping some gifts that need to get in the mail, (like last week!) I thought I would share the tag because I really like it and it was super fast and fun to make.

I made the base for the tag in Melon Mambo 4 1/2 by 2 1/4 folded in half.  Next I punched out a 2 in circle in Shimmery White cardstock. I used the Watercolor Christmas set for those cute little trees.  This stamp set is really fun.  I love the large sentiments and that there is a great stamp for the insides of cards, but I also think those little trees are super cute.
I stamped them all in a row, not caring if they overlap or are perfect, I was going for fast and I'm calling that Whimsical!
I used my Aqua Painter to add water to the circle, then added Pink Pirouette to the top and Melon Mambo to the bottom and let them blend together in the middle for an ombre effect.  So fast and great in any color to match my packages.

Here is the stamp set. Don't you love it?

There is a card kit that goes with this stamp set, sold separately, and on sale right now!
