OOPS! Careful with that Coffee!

This is a fun card I made for an online challenge awhile back.  I made the coffee stain by adding a drop of ink refill into a few drops of water I put into a saucer.  I suppose I could have used real coffee but I wanted to color to match my paper perfectly : )   The card base is "crumb cake" and the ink stain and paper frame around the coffee pot are "early espresso".  Sounds like a good breakfast doesn't it?  I dipped a real coffee cup into the ink in the saucer, then just put the coffee cup down onto the card.   A few years ago my sister and her friends were making journals and she make a page based on coffee, and she added a real coffee stain to her page. I always thought it was a cute idea, so when I was working with this stamp set I just had to give it a try.
Stamp set: Morning Cup
Paper :Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Elegant Soiree designer series paper

First Project posted :)

Well, it took several days to actually post a project! First I had to find my camera. Then I had to take a picture of a project, which was harder than I thought.  There seems to be no good spot in my house to take a picture of something small, they all turned out too dark. I'm sure as I go on I will get better at pictures, at least I hope so.  I decided that I would share my most recent scrapbook page.  I don't scrapbook in any order, its just what ever I'm in the mood for.  I have finished my daughter Jillian's 2nd birthday before I even started on her first.  This page uses one of my favorite new die cuts "Fun Flowers"  I added lots of flowers in colors from Jillian's dress.  I choose pacific point, poppy parade, and blushing bride for my paper colors, along with some matching poppy parade ribbon.

Check it out! I made a Blog!

I have decided to start a blog! Sounds like fun, right?  we will see!  I wanted to start a Blog so that my stamping and scrapbooking friends and customers can follow along with some of the projects Im making. But, can I get my camera working so I can take pictures of my projects?  Will the kids give me a few minutes to post a blog entry?  Is there spell check on this thing?  These are all good questions that I probably should have thought about before I hit that last "enter" when looking into this whole thing.   Perhaps I will be back with something actually card or scrapbooking related to share later tonight, after the kids are asleep!
