Welcome Noah

It's MDS Blog Hop Time again! Yippie!  I love seeing what everyone is working on it MDS! So many new ideas!  The MDS Blog Hop takes place on the second and fourth Thursday of the month.  We are a group of ten MDS enthusiasts who have linked our blogs together to showcase all that you can do with the My Digital Studio software.  Hopefully you have just hopped to me from the talented Cori's blog!  If not, hop all the way around until you get back to me, that way you will be sure not to miss a thing!
This week is "What are we working on" and I am working on a framed piece for the newest member of my extended family, Noah.  My cousin just had a baby and I wanted to make something special to celebrate.  Here is what I came up with.
Some of you may remember this "Two by Two" stamp.  I always thought it was cute but I didn't really need a baby stamp at the time and never bought it.  Then my cousin named her baby Noah and I wished I had it, but it had since retired.  MDS to the rescue!  I found that the stamp is being offered as a digital download! YEA!  I downloaded it right away and planned my card.  Then I was thinking about how digital stamps are so great because you can resize them, and I thought it would be a fun project to make for the wall.  This stamp is now 7 1/2 inches across!

And here is the matching card.  I printed them out on Watercolor paper, and painted the stamp in with my Aqua Painters.

Here is a close up of the Aqua Painters.   You don't have to go this route though, you can paint it digitally too.

This version was colored in digitally with the freeform tool and printed out on Whisper White paper.

To make the cards I opened a new project and added 4 four inch photo boxes.  I then imported my ark project into the photo boxes and printed them out onto watercolor paper.  I printed 3 to color in and one digitally colored because I wanted to see which I liked better.

What do you think?  the one on the left is painted with Aqua Painters, the one on the right digitally colored.

I hope you liked today's project and will continue on to the next stop on the hop which will take you to Holly's Blog.  I am sure she has something great to share!

The water is paper from the "High Tide" dsp download. You can see how I colored over it at this link http://bethsdigitalcuts.blogspot.com/2014/03/two-by-two-frameable.html
