Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop

Hi everyone! Today I am participating in the monthly Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop once again.  Scrapbooking Global is a Facebook page dedicated to scrapbooking with Stampin' Up products. Anyone can join, demonstrators or not, just so long as the images you add to the site use primarily Stampin' Up! products and are scrapbook pages.  This is great because there are so many places for card inspiration, but not so much for scrapbooking.  We started out small but quickly grew to almost 4,000 members! And there is so much sharing!  Just take a look at the photo gallery and you can't help but be inspired.

This month we are focusing on Memories and More Cards.  These cards were started for Pocket scrapbooking but with the intent of being multi purpose for use on cards, home decor or traditional scrapbook pages.  I have made a few pocket scrapbooks, usually when I am making a smaller book for a specific even, such as a vacation.  I love how the Memories and More cards make creating an album easy, with lots of places for journaling and cute accent cards.  For my page today I am using the Best Route collection.  I was very happy when this collection came out because it is a not a floral collection, with lots of bold and vibrant patterns, perfect for my family with 2 boys, 16 and 11.   I have always found it so easy to make pages with my daughter, but a bit harder for the boys.  The Best Route collection is perfect, I love the patterns and the colors.  My 16 year old just got his drivers license so some of the paper patterns from the coordinating Designer Series Paper collection were perfect!  The photo was taken just after he passed his driving test and was given a temporary license to use while waiting for the official version to come in the mail.
I used three cards from the Memories and More collection.  One was used for journaling. The other two I cut up and  layered to use as an embellishment.

I used a paper punch to punch out the main image from the card, then layered parts of another card as a banner and put the punched out circle back on top.
The card pack also comes with some stickers, which I used for accents on the page.

I hope you like my page.  It was fun to make.  Continue along on the Blog Hop and check out the rest of the pages! I am sure you will find some inspiration to create your own pages using Memories and More cards
