Stampin' Up! is ending it's relationship with Sizzix and that means that the Big shot and the Big Shot accessories will be discontinued. Now would be a good time to stock up on cutting plates or other Big Shot Items. You may wonder, does this mean that Stampin' Up! is discontinuing all the dies? No, some current dies are carrying over to the new Annual Catalog and new dies are coming. They will just be made by another manufacturer and have new packaging. You may worry that your old dies will not fit the new machine or that the new dies wont fit your old Big Shot. No fears, the new dies will work in your Big shot and the old dies will work in the new machine. You may need a shim on some of the embossing folders, but they will still make a good impression. We are hoping that this new relationship will help keep down the back-orders and other issues. Stampin' Up! is also working on a new Stampin' Trimmer. When the new catalog comes out in June, you wont see the Big Shot line or a new Trimmer, as they were not ready yet for the June release, but look for it soon in a supplement. in the mean time, there is nothing wrong with your current trimmer or Big Shot, so craft away.
