Art In Bloom stamps with new Hybrid Embossing Folder

I have been spending  A LOT of time with the new Art In Bloom bundle this week.  I meant to just make a card to try out the new 'Hybrid' embossing folder, but I just kept making more and more cards! The flower image is fun and easy to color.  The flowers looked great with watercolor, Stampin' Blends or their filler stamps.  I tried every possible way. I think my favorite was to just add a simple Petal Pink or Pale Papaya Stampin' Blend wash to the petals, deeper color toward the center and whiter at the tips.

Here I used Petal Pink. The card base is Soft Succulent with Evening Evergreen accents.  I cut some leaves out of vellum as well.

The Hybrid Embossing Folder allows you to Emboss and cut in one pass.  This is the first of this kind for Stampin' Up! and it was really easy.   Take a look at this video to see this new type of Embossing folder in action.

For this card I embossed some vellum to soften the background.  Vellum looks so great embossed.  I also added some gold leaves and flower centers.  The card base is Calypso Coral.  I used Petal Pink Stampin' Blends to color the flowers.  The leaves are Evening Evergreen and gold glitter paper.

The Ribbon is Pale Papaya.  Because this ribbon is organdy and light, it looks great with both Petal Pink and Pale Papaya cardstock.

This next card is in Polished Pink.  I used Watercolor Paper and colored the flowers with my Water Painters and ink.  The leaves are Evening Evergreen.

I Embossed the sentiment in White Embossing powder on a piece of Basic Black cardstock cut out with the Scalloped Contours dies.  The Ribbon is from the Playful Pets Ribbon Combo Pack.

This card is particularly fun. It is a Tri-Fold window card.

The base is Evening Evergreen. The flowers are embossed in gold on Shimmery White cardstock and colored with Petal Pink Stampin' Blends.  The front of the card has been embossed with the embossing folder and dies, leaving the flower area open.  I then cut some flowers from Shimmer White cardstock and colored them.  I attached them to the inside second layer, making sure the flowers lined up perfectly with the openings.

Here is the first opening.  I added leaves in Soft Succulent and Gold Glimmer paper.

Here is the center. I left it mostly empty so that a greeting could be written.  I stamped just one flower by covering up the rest of the flowers with post-it notes, then inking it up, then removing the post-it note before stamping onto the Basic White cardstock.

Check out this step by step video for the Tri-Fold card.

This last set of cards were made for a card swap. Here I used Just Jade and Pale Papaya.  The ribbon is from the Flowers for Every Season ribbon combo pack.

I have so many more ideas for using this new set, so check back to see more in the coming weeks.  I need to use a couple other sets first though because I am preparing to get back to holding In-Person events again in July after more than a year!
