Shower Favors

I made these cute little favors to give out at a bridal shower we are had last week at church.  I came across them at Splitcoaststampers, a paper crafting online community where I go to get some fun ideas.  They were posted by a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, who saw them on a blog from yet another Stampin' Up! demonstrator from Germany! Here is her blog.  One of my favorite things about my hobby is the friendlyness of other demonstrators and crafters.  We love to share our ideas and teach other people our tips.  Its fun to see things from all over the world.  Stampin' Up! is in several countries, and the demonstrator website is fun of ideas from around the globe.   The wedding invitations were bright and so I went with these colors, I hope they liked them.
I started with a strip of paper 1 3/4 by 5 1/2 inches.  Then I scored the strip at 3/4, 2 1/4, 3 1/4, and  4 3/4.

Next, you put the ends of the paper into the punch, but not as your normally would, you go in through the center, through the bottom.  Line up your punch with your score lines.  There are a few punches that would work for this, I used the Fancy Flower Punch on this one.  Further down I show one with the Blossom Punch.
 Do this on both sides.

Snip a little more than half way across on both sides.

Decorate the  front any way you like.  On these I added a tiny tag with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies and the Tiny Tags Stamp set.  I added a little heart in Rich Razzleberry.

Here is onther verison, made to look like a butterfly.  This one used the Blossom punch.  I added the matching Mixed Bunch stamp set to add some detail to the wings, and some little pearls.  The ribbon acts as body and antena.
I had to mask the paper in order to get the stamp only on the wings.

What's inside?  Hershey Nuggets!  I used My Digital Studio to make matching labels on Avery Return Address labels.  I then wrapped the nuggets with the labels.  They have the names of the Bride and Groom, how cool is that?!

Thank for stopping by!!
