Cheerful Daisies Peek-Through Card

Hi Stamping Friends! Today I want to share a card that we made at the last Stamp Camp.  It uses the pretty Cheerful Daisies Stamp set and Dies!  I paired the stamps with some pretty striped paper from the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper Pack.

First I did all the die cutting.  I started with a top folding card base in Basic White. I layered a piece of Designer Series paper on top WITHOUT adhering them together, then cut a circle out of the two pieces at the same time, using the Stylish Shapes Dies.  Next I cut a slightly Smaller circle out of a piece of 3x3 Bubble Bath cardstock. I attached the Bubble Bath cut out on top of the Basic White card base, then layered the Designer Series Paper cut out piece of top, using plenty of Dimensional adhesives to give space between the layers.

Next I cut out my Daisy dies and used a Sponge Dauber and Lemon Lolly ink pad to give them a pretty yellow center.  I cut some greenery with Garden Green cardstock.

I glued two daisies and the greenery sprig to the outside of the card.

I attached the third daisy and a leaf to the inside of the card, making sure that it could still be seen when the card was closed.

One one card  I stamped the 'Wishing you the Brightest Birthday' sentiment with Garden Green ink. On the second card I used the 'Oops-a-Daisy, so sorry' sentiment.

These cards stand nicely and look fun with the inside still visible when closed.  There is plenty of space to add a handwritten note to the inside bottom third of the card.

Little Dreamers Baby Card

Hi everyone! Today I am using the cute Little Dreamers Bundle from the Annual Catalog! I just love these little animals.  I thought they would be great to make some welcome baby cards, but I also intent to use them to get a little caught up on some of my Scrapbook pages.

Here is my first card made with this stamp set.  I used the Lion image as well as the fun clouds and moon die cuts.  In the background you can see the starts that were also cut out with the fun die set.

The sentiments are cute and I love that I could use them on both the outside and the inside of the card.

To color the little lion I used my Stampin' Up! watercolor pencils. Watercolor Pencils are a great way to get a lot of Stampin' Up! colors for less cost.  By applying more or less pressure while coloring you can get deeper or lighter colors.  You can even get some blended looks by adding the Blender Pens to your stash. The Blender Pens are a clear fluid that you can use in conjunction with the pencils to get a more blended coloring look.

There are two sets of Pencils. Assortment 1 has 13 pencils for $16 (included a white and black). Assortment 2 has 10 pencils for $13.

There a a few other fun little animals to choose from. I am looking forward to coloring that elephant and little chipmunk!

Here is the catalog sample that inspired my sample. Isn't that cow adorable.  Sort of funny to say that a cow is adorable, but it is :)

Back To School Notes and Treats

My kids are heading back to school on Thursday and so I made these little note cards and treats to stick in their backpacks and lunch boxes.  Technically my kids may be a little old for love notes in their lunch box, but I've done it for so long if I forgot a year, they would tell me when they got home. :)

The notes are simply made with a piece of 3 by 6 Basic White cardstock folded in half. I added a piece of Designer Series paper from the Delightfully Eclectic pack, cut 2 3/4 by 2 3/4.

I stamped the Pencil in Memento Black ink, and colored with Stampin' Blends. The colors I choose are Moody Mauve, Wild Wheat, Pretty Peacock, Crumb Cake, and Black.  I cut out the pencil and heart with my paper snips and added them to my card.

The treats are Mini Kind Bars (granola bars). I cut a piece of Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper at 4 1/4 by 3 and wrapped it around my Kind Bar, using Tear and Tape to attach the ends together.

I then colored the pencil and heart, cut them out and added them to the bars.  On the back I added a small scrap of Basic White, 2 3/4 by 1 inch, to write a little note.

Fast Cards with the Wanted to Say dies

Hi Everyone! Today I want to share a fun find from the Annual Catalog. I completely missed these dies when the catalog first came out.  The die set is called 'Wanted to Say' and it contains several phrases that are great for fast card making or even to use in your scrapbooks.

This card came together quickly because the large sentiment dies do all the work. I simply layered the words on some Vellum and designer series paper.

To add some more detail I stamped some texture with Pretty Peacock ink onto Pretty Peacock Cardstock for this tone on tone background.  The Designer Series Paper is from the Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper pack and I just love the rich colors! The Vellum paper has a slight dotted look, and is cut from the Scalloped Contours dies.

For some sparkle I added some Pretty Peacock sequins.

Take a look at this die collection and another card  made with it in my YouTube Video here:

The die set contains several sentiments. You're too kind, Feel Better Soon. Happy Birthday, and Celebrate.  There are also some extra add-ons like hearts, stars, a flower and gift package.

You would surely get a lot of use out of this collection.
