15 wonderful years!

Look what came in the mail today! My 15 year pin from Stampin' Up!    I can't believe that it's been 15 years already!
When I started, my husband was in Iraq and I wanted to make a little scrapbook for him of what was going on in our son's life.  We had a little 3 year old who was doing all kinds of new things, swimming and learning to ride a bike. My husband was missing all of it.  I wanted to have a book ready for him to see when he got home.  The first year I was a demonstrator I only put in orders for myself and my sister.  Then I had a couple other moms want to make scrapbook pages too, so we met up once a month and made some pages, and sometime they would put in an order.  My husband came home and I started having a little more free time and those moms wanted to make cards too, so we added a card night. I was really enjoying this new venture. I started reaching out to others and adding some new customers to my classes.  I had two more children along the way and one of the great things about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is the ability to do it your way. I had to step back a little bit for awhile as my kids were little.  As the kids got older, I added events again and got back into the swing of things.
My business grew and I started attending Stampin' Up! conventions and making friends from all over the world! I love this community of people, all sharing ideas and inspiring each other.  It truly has been 15 wonderful years.  It's hard to believe it! But time really does fly when you're having fun!

This is a collection of pins from conventions and other Stampin' Up! events.
I hope you will consider joining me on this journey.  Joining Stampin' Up! is easier than you may think with no obligations.  If you click my join video you can see more about it. And I am always happy to answer any questions.

During this time of social distancing, this hobby is a nice creative outlet. I have been joining in some swaps and making cards for friends and family.  It always brings a smile to my face when I get a card in the mail.  Just by the size of the envelope you know it is happy mail.
I have also been sending out some kits in the mail, sort of a mystery card kit. On my "Beth's Paper Cuts Idea Sharing Group" on Facebook, I sent out a ton of kits (free) to people, and then they made a card with the pieces. After a week or so I posted the actual sample on the site and it was fun to see all the different ways people used the kit.  Consider joining the group on Facebook and join in the fun.

Bundles ~ Buy now for the Best Pricing

Hi everyone!   As many of you know, a new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog is just around the corner.  The new Catalog goes live on June 4th and that means that a lot of new products are coming our way, and a lot are leaving the line up.  Many items are carrying over to the next catalog, but they will be changed slightly, and that is what I want to tell you about today.  You may see an item on the Retired list, such as the Grace's Garden bundle.  These items WILL be in the next catalog, they just wont be a 'Bundle'.  This is typical, when an item is new, the bundles are offered at 10% off, but then the next catalog they appear in they will no longer be bundled.  Sometimes they are, but more often they are not.  For example, buying Graces Garden now at a Bundle price will save you 10%! Yay!

Here are some bundles that will be staying, but no longer going to be 10% off:
A little lace                                    Floral Essence                           Sailing Home

A wish for Everything                   Forever Blossoms                     Silhouette Scenes
Band Together                               Free as a Bird                            Timeless Tropical
Bloom and Grow                           Friend Like You                        To A Wild Rose
By the dock                                   Good Morning Magnolia           Under My Umbrella
Daisy Lane                                    Heart to Heart
Dino Days                                     Grace's Garden
Dressed to Impress                       Parcels and Petals

I have also gotten a lot of questions about the Stampin' Blends. Many of you are wondering why they are being discontinued.  They are not being discontinued.  Stampin' Up! has decided to no longer sell them individually, so the individual light and dark item numbers are being discontinued, and for some reason the combo packs have new item numbers too, so they system sees those are retiring item numbers and then they show up on the retiring list.  No worries, your Stampin' Blends are not going away.  Yay! Please let me know if you have any questions about the retiring list and be sure to get those items you love now before they are gone.

Shop with me! I would love to be your demonstrator.  I always send a hand stamped thank you card and sometimes more with a larger order, and I share my Stampin' Rewards with you through my Frequent Buyer Rewards! Earn FREE STAMPS! Click on the Frequent buyer tab to download the tracking sheet.

Dino Days Magnet Slider card

Hi Everyone! If you are like me you have probably bookmarked or tagged or saved somehow, lot of card ideas that you just never got around to doing.  i found a cute Magnet Slider card last Halloween, maybe even two Halloweens ago, and just never got around to making it.  So many card ideas, so little time.  Well these days the "so little time" is not as true as we are staying at home due to the Covid-19 issues.  I have been looking through my saved projects and found another Magnet Slider card, this time using another discontinued stamp set.   So, I decided to make a newer version of this technique. I needed a kid birthday card, so Dino Days it is.
Dino Days really is a fun collection of products, with stamps, dies, paper and matching embellishments, you are sure to make a cute card with this suite!

The stamps have dies to cut the images out, but the dies also cut out some of the images from the matching Designer Series Paper. Super fun!

The Magnetic Slider card uses magnets on an embellishment in this case the Pterodactyl, as well as a magnet behind a moveable element, in this case the tag.
When the tag is pulled out of the pocket, the Pterodactyl leaves the card and jumps to the tag, like he is flying up with the tag as it is pulled out.  Super cute and the person who gets this card is really going to love it.
The magnets need to be strong enough to hold through several layers of cardstock, so be sure to try them out first before putting it all together.
It is really easy to make and I have a how to video that you can use to follow along.

The paper in this collection is really cute. I love that there are a variety of colors, great for boys or girls, young and old.

This is a cute sample from the catalog.  What a sweet baby card!

New Additions to the Clearance Rack

The Clearance Rack has been updated with some new items from the last Holiday catalog.  Now is a good time to grab some goodies to use on your card and scrapbook projects.  I like to take a look at the dies, many don't need stamps, like the wreath, the medallions, the ice skates, 'Bottles and bubbly', ''Sip and Celebrate',  Starlight Snowflakes, Swirly Snowflakes, Up & Away and more.  Those dies are great additions to your collections, even without the matching stamp sets.   Also check out some of the Embossing Folders and Embellishments too! Check out all the items here.

Simple Watercolor Beach with Aqua Painters and Ink

Hi Everyone! Today I thought I would share a pretty card that is very satisfying to make.  If you like to watercolor, than this is right up your alley. If you don't, try it! It is easier than it looks and is relaxing to paint.
I used just a few colors, Sahara Sand, Coastal Cabana, and Pacific Point! Like how I choose all the beachy named ones? I also used a tiny bit of Petal Pink on the shell on the photo to the left.

Once you have your beachy background you can add a sentiment and embellishments from so many of our stamp sets.  This card uses the Seaside Notions stamp set.  Other great ones for this technique would be the Sea of Textures, maybe Magical Mermaid, Sailing Home, or By the Dock. I bet you have something that would be great.

I made a step by step video that shows how I made this card with an alternate version at the end. check it out!

Here is a photo of the Beach Background before I added the embellishments.
