Take a look at the Well Suited Suite

The Annual Catalog Inspiration

Well Suited Suite

Fear not my creative friends! The Well Suited Suite is here, and it's the perfect solution we've been searching to find for those hard-to-create masculine cards. This suite is ideal for masculine birthdays, Father's day, and a few more unexpected uses, too.

The Handsomely Suited stamp set has a combination greetings and images that are great as focal images, accents, or stamped backgrounds. The Suit & Tie Dies take this bundle over the top with dies that coordinate with the stamps and a whole set of pieces to mix n' match to create shirts, vests, or suit jackets. Pair the stamps and dies with the handsome patterns of the Well Suited Designer Series Paper and you have a top-notch combination.

Obviously, the shirts and suits you'll build with this set are going to be a hit, but what about using the suit dies with Basic White to create a lab coat, or with Mint Macaron to create scrubs as a thank you to nurses and doctors. Or in the colors of police, fire, or military uniforms? Or create wedding cards with black tuxedos and move the "V" of the jacket dies up to create a V-neck wedding dress with embossed Basic White cardstock and Pearl Jewel details.

The possibilities really are endless. I look forward to seeing what you create with this unique set!

The tutorial below creates layers of texture with stamped images, a popped-up frame technique, twine, and stamped Designer Series Paper.

As always, feel free to contact me at any time! I love to discuss all things stampy!
Sincerely,
Beth

Simply Succulents stamps and dies

I spent the whole day playing with the Simply Succulents Stamp set and Potted Succulents dies!  They are so fun to use.  I started by just stamping a bunch of images and coloring them in with a variety of techniques.  Then I cut a lot of the die images out and just went to town putting a collection of cards together.

The stamps are really fun for a variety of coloring techniques, like watercolor, colored pencil, traditional and alcohol markers.  I also like the font on the sentiment stamps.

The dies for this collection are so great!  Check out the FOUR fun label dies as well as that huge detail background die!

Save 10% when you buy them as a bundle, but only for a limited time.  This set is going to carry over into the new Annual Catalog, but it will no longer be at the bundled savings.

I used every single stamp and die in the set! So fun!  check out my video for some tips and tricks on the coloring techniques, and to get a better explanation of the cards.

Sneak Peek of the new Hand-Penned Petals bundle from Stampin' Up!

Today I just had to play around with some new products!  I know, there is still a couple weeks left of the current Annual Catalog, and a month and a half of the Spring Mini Catalog, but with the new Annual Catalog sitting here on my desk, I couldn't help myself.  I just had to dive into the new pretty papers and colors.

I thought I would first start with the Hand-Penned Petals bundle.  I love the artwork of the set, with the variety of ways that it can be used. Of course the first way I had to use it was to watercolor.  I also made a version of the card where I used the stamp images to color in the florals too.

Here is my first play with the set. I love the new papers, the pretty greens and the possibilities of coloring techniques. I thought the sentiment here is perfect!

I watercolored the image with Garden Green, Highland Heather, Pale Papaya (new) and Polished Pink (new).

On this second version I show how to fill in the flowers with the stamps instead. To darken the flower centers I used a Pale Papaya marker. The ribbon here is new too!

Do you see that fun border at the bottom of the accent paper? That is a fun new die from the Border Basics Dies.  I show them in detail in my video below, as well as all the new colors and some more new ribbons.

Take a look at a step by step for these cards in the video below. I show both cards with some new products sprinkled in.

Here's another version, with some new ribbons and a different border die.

The new Annual Catalog goes live soon! I will post it here on May 4th! If you have purchased this past year, I have already ordered on to be sent to you.

Be sure to check back in the coming days for more new samples!

Zoo Globe! Playing with some soon to retire stamp sets

Hi Stamping Friends!  Today I am playing with a bunch of soon to retire stamp sets.    I bought the Zoo Globe stamp set right away but just never got around to use it!  So Many Stamp and so little time! and no classes due to covid, so I just didn't get a lot of variety to my stamping as I normally to when I have classes.  When I saw it was about to retire, I just knew I had to use it, it's just so cute!!  This first card uses Stampin' Blends for the coloring, a favorite!

This next card uses the Kangaroo from the set for a sweet baby card.  Everything on this card is about to retire!  The Layering Oval dies, the cardstock, the Designer Series Paper and the ribbon!!  Be sure to check out the Last Chance Product List to get a look at what's retiring, there are a lot of great products and great prices!!

Sentiment is from the Well Said stamp set, a GREAT set for so many occasions!

This last one is a Shaker Card!! It's so fun to give shaker cards to kids!  They love the interaction.

I used a circle punch to cut out the globe area.  Super simple.

See a step by step on how to make this card, along with some tips on using Stampin' Blends on my YouTube Video below.

One Template, so many uses

Hi stampy friends.  Today I want to share a card template that I was using today to create a bunch of kids cards.  I needed something that was fast, and I also wanted to use up some scraps.

I was flipping through the catalog when I came upon a card with the Zany Zebras stamp set.  I loved the colorful background and I just changed it slightly to fit my scraps.

It was so easy to switch out different paper colors. I made a dozen or so of these very quickly.  I needed kid cards because I donate a lot of cards to the 'Care Team' at church, and they send cards to people for Birthdays, Anniversaries, get well or Sympathy.  One woman from my church send me a text that said "My daughter got one of your pretty cards from her Sunday School Teacher today and I just wanted to let you know how beautiful we thought it was."   Super nice to hear, but her daughter is 7 and the card was pretty, but not very kiddish. :)  I thought about it and I realized that I don't make very many kid cards!  So, Zany Zebras to the rescue!!

I was having so much fun using up my scraps, I decided to try a few more varieties.   Here is one with Shark Frenzy!

This one uses Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral Designer Series Paper, soon to retire.

Here I used the same basic template, but I added a wave shape to the strips of paper.

I love the dies from the Shark Frenzy bundle, so I just had to add some sea plants and tiny fish!

I also wanted to make a grown-up card with this same template. Here I used the Sailing Home stamp set.

Papers here are Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, and Poppy Parade.

One last version! Here I used the retiring InColor paper pack, which is one sale!! I cut flowers from the Pierced Blooms dies in Night of Navy, Seaside Spray and Rococo Rose.

I would love to see what you make with this template! Join me at my Facebook group 'Beth's Paper Cuts Idea Sharing Group'.  You can post your creations and check out what others are making.

Here is a video how to for some of these cards.
