Easter Promise ~ So Many Ways to Color

Hi Everyone.  Today I am making some cards for my next Card Buffet and I thought I would add an Easter card to the mix.  I loved the Easter Promise stamp set. It features crocuses and I really like this flower, especially when it starts peeking out from the snow.  I really like the colors in the crocus flowers too, the yellows and purples.  I know that there are some that are solid yellow or purple or white, but my favorite is the purple with the bit of yellow at the center.

The card at the left is coloered with Stampin' Blends, which I just love using, but you can get some great results with our markers, colored pencils or Stampin' Write markers as well.  I  was thinking about this as I was making these, and I decided that I would do the same card in many different coloring mediums.
Check out this first video for the Stampin' Blends.

Here are some close ups of the many ways to color in the Crocus image.
Colored Pencils on Whisper White (left) and on Watercolor Paper (right).
                                                                  Stampin' Blends.
                                                               Stampin' Write Markers.
                                                                   Ink and Aqua Painter.
Here is a video showing all these methods.

Happy St. Patrick's Day punch art

Hi everyone.  I am participating in a card swap where we are supposed to highlight our punches and dies.  This card is full of punches! And, with March fast approaching, it is just in time for St. Patrick's day!
I love the Word Wishes Dies!  They cover so many holidays! There is a Merry, Happy, and Day, and you can pair them with Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Valentine's, St. Patrick's, Mother's, Father's, and New Years. They are sized perfectly for both card and scrapbook projects.

For the pot of gold I used the Hot Air Balloon punch.  I like it better than a circle punch because I think the shape is flatter on the bottom and tapers up nicely, but if you have a circle punch, then it would work as well.  The coins are punched with a 3/4 inch circle punch and gold foil paper.
The Leprechaun is made from the Pretty Label Punch (head), tulip builder punch (mustache and little tuft of hair under the hat), 1/2 inch circle punch (nose) 1 3/4 inch circle punch (hat).  I made the eyes with a hand held hole punch, but you can use other punches or dies that you may have, I have also used the tiny circles from the retired cupcake punch, the owl punch or circles left behind from the garage gears die.  I made the brim of the hat with just a strip of paper, rounded at the ends with a circle punch.
Colors used for the background rainbow are Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Call Me Clover, Blueberry Bushel, and Gorgeous Grape.
I made a video to show how to put it all together, with tips for lining up the rainbow background and making a shamrock out of the blossom punch.  Check it out!
