Birthday Memories

Hi Everyone!  Today I want to show you a collection of products that will be released soon called the Birthday Memories Suite.  This is an adorable collection of images that will remind you of older style children's books.  The artist really captured the feeling of the "golden books" that I used to read as a child and that I read to my children.
This suite includes a fun paper collection called Birthday Memories, and a stamp set called Birthday Delivery and a Framelit collection that co-ordinates called Birthday Friends.  The dies in this collection cut out both the stamped images from the stamp set, as well as the printed images on the Designer Series Paper.

I made a collection of projects to show off the images in the set.  This little poodle on the left reminds me of a book called Go Dogs Go, where the dogs are on their way to a party.  The little fox on the right was a project we made at the OnStage event a few weeks ago.  The fox was cut from the designer paper.

This baker is a cutie with his big mustache.  He is writing Happy Birthday onto his menu board.

This sweet little girl actually has her back to us, maybe she is shy.  I added a little bouquet of flowers to her hands. The framelit also cuts out a little girl in the papers, and that girl is facing forward.

I made a video showing off the papers and stamps, as well as how to make a "Bag-a-Lope".  You can see it here...

And a video for the Z-Fold Card only...

Bag-a-Lopes are a really handy little project that is good to know how to make.  It is a perfect treat holder in a pinch, and fits a gift card or some candy, or the ever popular 'cash'.   You can make a Bag-a-Lope from any size envelope.  I show how to make one using the standard Stampin' Up! envelopes in the video.

This is a gift bag made from a single sheet of the Designer Series paper.  The paper is just so cute you really don't need to do anything to this one at all.  I used the Envelope Punch board to make the bag.

And this is a super fun card! I saw one similar to this on the display boards at OnStage in Minneapolis and knew I had to make one when I got home.  I am going to make a seperate blog post with more directions and sized for tomorrow. I thought I would recreate it step by step with some photos so it is easier to see how it goes together.

Well I hope that you enjoyed this sneak peek!  The new catalog goes live for customers on June 1st!  Contact me if you have any questions!!

Delightful Daisy Suite Sneak Peek

Hi Everyone! Today I have another Sneak Peek to show you from the new Annual Catalog that comes out June 1st.  This is a new stamp set and paper punch bundle called Delightful Daisy.  Anytime a new punch comes out I am happy, and this time was no exception. And the new papers that go along with it are just beautiful.

Look how pretty!  There is a large daisy and then a lot of smaller flowers.

I made a video to show off the papers, stamps and some new accessories, as well as a card project.  Check it out and let me know what you think!

I just love the Daffodil delight and Night of Navy.  Old Olive is a favorite green too!

For this card I used the stamps with out the large daisy. I wanted to show off the other pieces too.  There are a variety of stems and flower heads and you can stamp them separately so you can have green stems and colored flowers. I used some new ribbon on this card as well.

This card lets the paper do all the work.  I used the Oval Framelits to cut out a selection of the paper.

I hope you like this sneak peek!   The new catalog comes out in June but now is a great time to get some retiring products while you can, such as the Baker's Twine and sequins I used on the card above on the left.   To get your hands on some new products, you can sign up to be a demonstrator and take part in the May Pre-order.  Let me know if you have any questions on that!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Cool Treats ~ Get it now for the best deals!

The Cool Treats Suite is super cute and I haven't gotten to play around with it until now, just as the Occasions catalog is almost over!  The good news is that the stamp set and Framelits are going to be in the next annual catalog!  The bad news is that it will no longer be offered at the 10% off bundle price!  Bundles are always offered at 10% off when they are introduced into a catalog, but the next catalog they appear in, they are not, so grab it now while you can!  AND!! even more important is the add-ons! The Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper is not going to be in the new catalog! What?! but they are just so cute together! I know, right? Anyway, the papers, the cute Washi Tape, the adorable sprinkles, all going away! BUT they are also all on SALE! They will sell out fast, so grab them while you can! Here are some cute projects I made with this bundle.

I just love the bowl of ice cream! and the little spoon and cherry on top. Adorbs!  I made a video with some tips and tricks for this card.

This card on the left is all three of my kids! I have one that would go for chocolate every time, one for strawberry and one with the chocolate and vanilla swirl!
The card on the right is just a copy from the catalog, but super cute anyway!

Here are the insides. I love to use a bit of Washi Tape on the insides, It dresses them up a bit. The Washi Tape currently says 'low inventory' so this will go fast.

I have a deal to 'SWEETEN' the already great sale prices on the items in this suite...
If you purchase the Cool Treats Bundle this month, I will send you 4 cards made with the products as inspiration.  And don't forget to pick up the sale papers and things too, but for my deal you just need to buy the bundle. And don't forget to fill out my Frequent Buyer form! Click the tab under my blog header. Or even better, JOIN! Did you know that demonstrators get our discount ON TOP of the sale prices? We do! Wood Crate Scrapbook Page

Hi Everyone!  Yesterday I shared some projects using the new Wood Words bundle and Wood Crate Framelits.  I just love these new items from Stampin' Up!   I remembered that I had some photos of my son with a wooden crate and so I found them and put together this quick page.

I used the crate as a fun accent.
I made the title on my computer and punched it out with another sneak peek, the Pretty Label punch.

I used some of the stamps in the set to make a fun border.
To line them up I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig.  Quick video on that if you are not familiar with it. I don't use it super often, but I am glad I have it on hand for when I need it!

Check out yesterday's post if you haven't already seen it! I share a lot of projects using the wooden crate and the Wood Words stamp set.  Thanks for stopping by!

Wood Words and Wood Crate Sneak Peek

Hi Everyone!  Today I wanted to share some sneak peeks from the new Catalog that will go live for customers on June 1st, 2017.  I just love this new catalog and I know that you will too!!  Because I went to the Stampin' Up! OnStage event I was able to purchase a select group of new products and even though they are not available yet, I just had to play with my new goodies and so I have nothing else to show you this week except sneak peeks!

The Wood Words stamp set and Wood Crate Framelits ban be purchased alone or together as a bundle.  I really like the stamp set and the crate! So fun!  And there is a new Designer Series paper to go along with it!!

On of the projects we made at OnStage was the little crate with a set of note cards.  When I got home I made a second crate and filled it with yummy gummy cherries!

I made this video to show a few projects and how the crate goes together.

This new Copper Trim is also part of the Wood Textures suite and it is really a fun ribbon.  It is made of small metallic fibers and can be splayed out or left thin.  Fun for adding some texture behind an image.   The collection also goes great with the burlap ribbon I already have and love, as well as linen thread.  Some new little wooden accents are coming our way as well, so it really is a nice suite with so many fun elements.
Here I have used the crate as a card element instead of a 3D crate.  This is another way you can use the framelits.  I  used the Jar of Love bundle to add the bunch of flowers.
Notice the Farmers Market stamp? Super cute and sized so that you can use it over the crate slats.  The other sentiments are sized to fit on the crate slats.
Update:
Someone asked for the colors I used, but I can't find the comment where they asked :(  So I will post them here and hope that they see it.
Flowers are Calypso Coral, Wisteria Wonder, and So Saffron. Leaves are Pear Pizazz.  I got the two -tones of color by using full strength ink and stamped off ink (ink it up, stamp on scrap paper, then stamp the image.).

The new catalog is truly great and I know that you are going to find a lot of great new items in it. I will add a link here and on the side bar as soon as I am legally able to.  I want you all to see it!!!
If you are a avid stamper/crafter like I am I know you are excited to see it too! Did you know that demonstrators can view it online right now? And that on May 2nd demonstrators get to purchase some more new items early?  Wish you could? Join as a demonstrator!! Seriously you can't go wrong.  Stampin' Up! does not automatically bill you for things if you don't make further purchases, you can quite at any time.  Build up your ink pad collection, buy the stamps you want.  I think you will stick around, it is a great community of people, and the products are amazing!  but if you don't that is OK.  There is no obligation.  Click on my Join tab to get started, or watch the join video for a bit more information!  Then you can start shopping from yourself at a discount!! Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Black Magic Technique

Hi Everyone!  Today I wanted to share another project using the watercolor pencils.  I just love that Stampin' Up! sells these pencils again and I want you to love them too!
This technique is called the Black Magic technique.  Imagine trying to stamp the flowers onto Basic Black cardstock with just the ink colors and the stamp.  The colors wouldn't show up, you might see a faint flower image but not a vibrant blue or pink.  This technique allows you to get bright colors onto a black background.  The look is somewhat like colored chalk on a blackboard. but it wont smear like chalk.

You start by choosing a solid image type stamp, not an outline stamp, for the best result.  Stamp your image with White Craft ink onto the black cardstock.
You will need to let it dry.  You can use your heat tool to dry the ink faster.

Next, simply color over the white images with the watercolor pencils.  That's it!

This card uses the Flourishing Phrases stamp set.

I made a quick video to show you step by step.

I hope that you will give this technique a try.
