New- All Aflutter stamp set and paper punch from Stampiin' Up!

Hi Stamping friends!! Today I played with the new All Aflutter stamp set with coordinating paper punch. I love a stamp and punch bundle! So fun! This new bundle comes out on May 5th, along with a bunch of other new fun things!!

I picked colors right out of the  Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper. This paper is so pretty with soft pastels in watercolor washes of patterns on one side, and bold black and white patterns on the other.

I chose to use Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, and Daffodil Delight  for my butterflies.

I created the frame with the Stylish Shapes dies. There are 5 sizes of squares. I used the largest square and the middle sized square to create the frame. I flipped the center cut out over and used the black and white side on the inside of the frame. I used Dimensional Adhesive strips to pop the frame out a bit.

The sentiments are stamped in Versamark on Basic Black cardstock, then heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I added some Bakers Twine bows in black on the white card base and white on the black card base. I also added some fun enamel dots called 'Array of Dots'.

I couldn't decide on a card base color. I almost choose Pool Party, but then decided on Black or White.  I still couldn't choose so I made one of each.  I still am not sure which one I like better!

Let me know which one you like better in the comments on my Video!

These products are part of the next catalog which comes out on May 5th. I will have links to the catalog here on May 5th so be sure to check back!

Sneak Peek at the new Nature's Symphony bundle from Stampin' Up!

Hi Stampin' friends.  Today I am playing around with the new Nature's Symphony stamp set and dies from Stampin' Up!  This set will be in the new January - April mini catalog that comes out on Tues January 6th.

I loved the large leaf sprig die so much, so I knew that I wanted to use it as a focal point. I cut it out with Pretty Peacock and then actually worked back from that.

The new Nature Walk designer series paper is all patters of deep blues and greens, which are my favorites. The patterns are abstract and geometric in design.

Because the new catalog is not out yet, I am not allowed to show catalog images, so I can't show you the images of the papers and stamps, but I can show them in my video. Click on the video link to see more of the stamps and dies, as well as the papers that are coming next week.

Sweet Songbird Sneak Peek

Take a look at this adorable new stamp and punch bundle from Stampin' Up! The Sweet Songbirds bundle will be available in the new Annual Catalog which goes live on May 3rd.

This bundle is just so cute and I love the versatility of the sentiments!  The "a little bird told me..." can be paired with a couple different stamps.  I like the "you've got something to celebrate" because you can use that with birthday, job promotion, a new baby and more!

The punch can be used to punch out the stamped image of the larger bird, or it can be used to punch out the bird directly from cardstock.

Take a look at my how to video to see the punch in action and get a step by step how to for this card.

Here's a look at how I decorated the inside of the card.

Be sure to stop back on May 3rd when the new Annual Catalog goes live. I will have a link to the online catalog.

Celebrate Sunflowers Sneak Peek

Today I am playing around with some of my new Sneak Peek items that are coming out in the new Annual Catalog on June 3rd.  This stamp set is called Celebrate Sunflowers and it has a fantastic die collection to go along with it.
The set features a large sunflower stamp, approx 3 1/4 inches across. There are some nice sentiments for many occasions too.  My first instinct was to watercolor this stamp, and to grab some earth tones for my cards.  I stopped myself though because I had some pretty new colors on my desk, and I really wanted to use them.  I thought about grabbing a different stamp to start with, but changed my mind. I decided to go bold with the sunflower instead, and I like the results. I hope you do too! The new colors are Just Jade, Magenta Madness, Misty Moonlight and Bumblebee.  I made a video that shows how to make these three cards.

This first geometric card was a great one for a card swap I am participating in.  I stamped the entire sunflower on all four colors of cardstock, then cut them apart, giving me enough pieces for four cards.  I added some rhinestones for sparkle.

I love the embossing on this sunflower! That black and white are just beautiful, and the bright colors behind the image really add to the boldness of the card.   I added some Enamel dots in the new InColors as well.

I really wanted to use the big sunflower die, so I made this card just to focus and that big flower.  I embossed the sentiment in white on black, and added the ribbon in Just Jade to sort of mimic a leaf.

I hope you like my bold take on this new stamp set.  I plan to keep using this set in more ways in the coming weeks, so check back and see some more projects with the Celebrate Sunflowers set.

What do you think about the set and dies?  I think it's a pretty great set.  If you wish you could get your hands on some new items right now, you can! By becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, you can choose from a selection of Sneak Peek products for your Starter Kit.  The Starter kit is $99 and you can choose up to $125 worth of products from any current product plus a selection of coming soon products to make up your kit.  After that there is no obligation, but you will enjoy a great discount on future orders if you stay on, as well as access to a fun online community of other stampers sharing ideas and creativity.  I would love for you to join my team. SO FUN!
This set is meant to go with the Painted Seasons bundle.  I love that they gave us a couple of each of the leaves because you know we always want more than one of these!
And the frogs!!  YAY! I love the from stamps and to be able to easily cut them out is just fantastic.  and of course we need that cute lily pad!
This lily set was already gorgeous, but with dies it is even more perfect and I love that there are two sizes of labels.
This punch is meant to go with the 'Part of my story' stamp set, but it will be a great punch to have and cut many sentiments from countless stamp sets.

And the stamp set is great with all of the stamps.  I love the addition of the pretty Easter, great for the lily stamps. There are a lot of sentiments for the frogs 'jumping in', 'hopping by', and 'jumping for joy'.  There are a couple stamps for the cupcake stamps and some for any set, like "Because adulting is hard".  I love the scripted Birthday. Christmas and New Year as well.

Serene Garden sneak peek

Hi everyone! Today I am making a card for a swap that I am in, and we are to use all new stamp sets.  Although this stamp set is not available yet to you, I thought I would share it anyway because the new catalog begins in just two weeks!
I am using two new stamp sets on this card.  The main images are from the Serene Garden stamp set.  This is a beautiful line art stamp set, great for many coloring techniques, such as water coloring like I have done here. I am also using the new
Itty Bitty Greetings, which replaces the old Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  There are 32 stamps in the set, something for every occasion, so you are going to want to add this one to your wish list. I needed a Sympathy card, so that is what I went with.  I stamped onto Pool Party cardstock and flagged the end.  A little scrap of ribbon and linen thread make an adorable accent.
I love to watercolor, so I used my aqua Painters and Pool Party, Calypso Coral, and Old Olive inks. These images would be great with the Stampin' Blends as well.

The dies that coordinate with this set are really fun.  They cut out the usual, the bird, the flowers, but there is also a die that cuts out just select leaves, and one that embosses the same image too.   On my card I used the die that selectively cuts out leaves, and I out the card together in such a way that it has three layers, a bottom  layer with the recessed leaves, then the main layer, then some popped up flowers and the bird. It gives the card a fun paper pieced look and so much dimension.
I created a video that shows just how to put this card all together and probably better shows the leaf dies.  I hope you enjoy it!  Feel free to ask me any questions there, I am good at responding :)
Serene Garden will be available beginning June 1st!  How did I get mine early? I am a demonstrator, we get all sorts of perks, discounts and pre-buys.  Click my join button to learn more!
