Pick of the Patch bundle from Stampin' Up!

Hi Friends! Today I want to share a fun fall card with the Pick of the Patch bundle from Stampin' Up!

Fall is my favorite time of the year and I love all things pumpkin spice that come out in the stores in September and October.  Stampin' Up! usually comes out with a new pumpkin themed stamp set each year and I was delighted to see that this year the set has a Punch to go with it.

The Stamp set is called Pick of the Patch and the coordinating Paper Punch punches out two of the pumpkin images from the stamp set.  There is also a cute face that you can add to the pumpkins to make them into Jack-o-lanterns!

For the first card I made with this bundle I wanted to also use the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks. The decorative mask set comes with this fun herringbone pattern that reminds me of fall and colder weather and I really wanted to give it a try.  I used Copper Clay ink on Copper Clay cardstock to make the background. I added a layer of Pretty Peacock (love!) and attached them all on a base of Early Espresso.

I stamped the pumpkins on Very Vanilla with  Pumpkin Pie and Copper Clay ink and punched them out. The greeting is stamped with Pretty peacock.

Just for fun I added some linen thread tendrils to the pumpkins and some copper sequins to add sparkle.

Abundant Beauty Stenciled Crate Card

Hi everyone! In just 2 more days the new Stampin' Up! mini catalog will go live and I will be able to share it here on my blog. But for now, I thought I would share a fun new product from the catalog.  The product is called Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks and it's a set of 7 stencils.   4 of the stencils are used to make up these beautiful sunflowers.  The others are snowflakes, leaves and hounds-tooth pattern.

I just had to try out the Sunflowers first, and here is my first result.

I first used Blending Brushes to add the color to the flowers and leaves. I choose to use Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Pecan Pie, Early Espresso and Old Olive.

Next I used the Timber Embossing Folder to add a wood texture to the cardstock. I then cut the image into three parts.  I used a sponge with Crumb Cake ink on it to add some distressed look to the Vanilla cardstock and help show more of the woodgrain from the Timber Embossing Folder.

Next I cut the Vanilla piece into three parts, and attached a thin strip behind them to resemble a crate. I used Dimentionals to attach the whole piece to the card base.

I added a sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set on a label cut from the Cheerful Daisies die set.  Behind the label is a bit of linen thread.

See a full how to on my YouTube Channel.

The Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks will not be in the Online Store until the catalog goes live on September 6th, so I can't add them to the product list yet.

Let's Go Fishing

These cards came together SO FAST! The designer Series Paper does all the work for you. The paper is called Let's Go Fishing and it is part of a whole suite of products. I really liked the suite, but I wasn't sure that I would use it beyond a few cards, so rather than get the stamps and dies, I only purchased the paper.  This way I had a taste of the suite without the bigger expense.  If you know a lot outdoorsy people though, you may want to get the whole thing because it really is a darling group of products. Take a look.

And here is the paper. I love that I could cut out the larger fish paper and use them as embellishments.  Once I've made several fish themed projects, the reverse sides of the paper are fun too and can be used for a variety of projects.

For my card, I cut out a bunch of fish. I used a card base of Pecan Pie and layered another of the patterns from the Let's Go Fishing papers as a background.  I stamped a sentiment onto Very Vanilla Cardstock and attached the fish with some Baker's Twine to mimic a fishing haul.

I added some gems and then matted the panel onto another piece of Pecan Pie cardstock.

My sentiments are from the Something Fancy stamp set, but you can use just about any sentiments you have!

I will save some of the cut out fishes for a scrapbook page of the Fishing Derby my kids participated in many years ago.

I have a full how to video with measurements here:

There are many ways to get a taste of this suite of products. Get just a hint with the papers like I did, or get a little more with the stamps, dies or the whole product bundle!  Either way you are sure to make some really fun projects.
