Noble Peacock Suite

Hi everyone! Today I want to share a card made with the Noble Peacock Suite.  This suite is full of beautiful elements. There are two sets of Foil sheets, colored Rhinestones, ribbon, an embossing folder and a stamp and dies set.  All rich and bold in color.

On this card I used just about the whole suite.  I love the colors and the shiny elements.
For this Peacock I used an Aqua Painter to color the peacock.

On this card I used Stampin' Blends to color the peacock.
Which do you prefer? I can't decide.

Below is a how to video that shows how to create this card.
I hope that you will check out the Noble Peacock suite.  Even if you don't get the whole suite of products, the embellishments and foil papers will make all your projects seem regal.

Laser Cut Cards with the Bird Ballad Suite

Hi Everyone! Today I wanted to show you these pretty new Laser Cut Card Bases.  They are so fun to design with.  The Laser Cut front panel is already attached to the card base so they are so easy to use and just beautiful.
The Laser Cut cards come in a tin with matching envelopes.  You get 12 cards and envelopes in all.  Once you are done decorating the cards, you can store then in the tin, ready to go when you need a card, or decorate the tin too! The tin full of pretty cards would make a pretty gift for anyone.
One of the things that I wanted to point out with the cards I designed is that you don't need to buy the whole suite of products to get the pretty look of the suite.  For example, I used the designer series paper to do the work for me on this card.  I cut the main image straight from the Bird Ballad paper. You could use stamped sentiments from your stamp stash for the sentiment piece.  I also used scraps from the paper pack to embellish the inside of the card as well.
Below is a short video where I show you some close ups and talk about all the little details that went into this simple yet very pretty card.
I hope that you will look at your Designer Series paper a little differently and think about cutting it up to use as images for your cards! And I hope that you will love the Laser Cut Cards and Envelopes! They are so Beautiful!

Flip Flap Card!

Hi Everyone! Today I am honored to be the guest tutorial writer at SplitcoastStampers! I love this site! They have a vast resource for paper craft techniques and an amazing gallery of card photos, alphabetized by stamp set name, for years of stamps from Stampin' Up!   You can search for cards made with Lovely as a  Tree, for example, and find over 10000 cards (I'm not kidding, I checked) of cards made with this set.   I was asked to make a tutorial for a card I made a year or so back that I called the Flip Flap card.  Here is what I made! Fun right! I love that when you pull on the ribbon, the door opens up and there is a silly little cow saying "Cow's it going?"  I send one to a friend who was recouping, I hope it brought a smile.  Here is a link to the written tutorial: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/flipflapcard and the video I made.

I made a few other versions. The first is with the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.

And this next card uses the A Little Lace stamp set.  It would be a fun one to send your friend for no reason at all, just for fun.

I made a few cards with this technique a while ago, back in 2017.  You can see that post here: http://bethrush-bethspapercuts.blogspot.com/2017/04/grateful-bunch-flip-flap-card.html

And a couple more here: http://bethrush-bethspapercuts.blogspot.com/2017/02/flip-flap-card.html

I hope that you will give this technique a try.  If you do, please share it with me!  You can upload your card to the Splitcoaststampers gallery.  You can also show it to me on my Facebook group page called "Beth's Paper Cuts Idea Sharing Group"  I hope you will join my group and share with me. It is nice to get ideas and share them too!

Parcels and Petals Video Hop

Hi Everyone! I am participating in my first ever Blog and Video hop! We are linking our blogs and videos to showcase one of my favorite new bundles the Parcels and Petals bundle.   I really like the stamps in this set, the sentiments are great for many occasions and I love the watercolor look of the flowers.
Each of the blogs and videos will show a card and a box made with this fun bundle.  Here is what I came up with. I wanted to use the tag topper die that comes with the bundle, as something other than a tag topper, just to show you other uses. I made a Belly Band with it and decorated both a box and a card.

The colors I used were Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, Night of Navy and Granny Apple Green.  I colored the ribbon using Markers.

I added splatters of Wink of Stella to the outside of the card.  I wish it showed up better in the photo because it looks really pretty.
The dies in this collection are really great. I think you will get a lot of use out of them even with out the box.  I love the little labels, I  have already used them many times.  The pretty lacy detail is nice for a variety of things and the stitching and eyelets are super fun for backgrounds.

Here is the video that shows you how to make these projects.  It's a little on the long side, but it is two projects, one of them a box.  You can skip forward to the parts you need to see :)    I hope you find some inspiration and some tips and tricks for coloring ribbon.   I hope you will hop onto the next blog and see what they have made and watch their how to video.  Click on to the next blog here.

You can see another video I have made on how to elongate the box here.

If you purchase the Parcels and Petals bundle this month, I will send you a pdf tutorial on making these three projects shown.  And, when you spend $50 in July, you will also get a $5 coupon to use in August as part of Bonus Days.
