Simple to Super with the Tasteful Touches stamp set

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a trio of cards using the Tasteful Touches stamp set.  I wanted to show them in a group like this so that you can see how to make a really simple version for when you need a pretty card quickly, and then a couple other ways to step it up when you have a little more time or materials on your hands.

I really like this stamp set for the imagery and the sentiments.  The sentiments are especially nice in these days of social distancing. I really like the "Just Saying Hello" or the "you are so special" to send to friends who I have not been able to meet with in a while.

I made a video on this trio that you can view here:

This is the Simple version.  I used just Stamps, ink and Paper on this, no special tools needed.  The card base is Gray Granite with a background using the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. I used Pretty Peacock cardstock for the sentiment.  the flower is stamped in Memento Ink and colored with Stampin' Blends in Rococo Rose and Mango Melody.

On this second card I stepped it up a bit by adding a die cut piece behind the flower using the Stitched So Sweetly dies, a favorite of mine! I also cut the flower out and popped it up with Dimensionals, and added some Linen Thread behind.

For this third version I stepped it up even further by adding some gold foil leaves from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper. I also embossed the sentiment with Gold Embossing Powder.

And one more! I added some gold Gilded Gems to this last version.  I can't decide if they are good or too much.

Hopefully this shows that you can make simple cards when you need to and then step up your design as time and product allow.

I hope that you will check out this pretty paper and the stamp set.  You can click on the images below to go right to my shop.

Kits on sale and more Last Chance Products

Kits & Medleys on Sale

Creativity comes easy when you've got amazing coordinating products. We don't want to brag, but coordination is one of our strong points.

The artists at Stampin' Up! have curated collections of exclusive coordinating products that give you the materials you need to create something amazing. These unique collections are called Product Medleys. As part of the Retirement List, two Product Medleys are currently available, only while supplies last, up 60% off. Talk about a huge value!
With the new catalog right around the corner, now is a good time to take a look at the list of retiring products and see if any were on your list last year. It also means that my Annual New Catalog Kick off / Retired Products sale is coming too!! This year it will look a bit different as I can not have an actual In-Person event. I plan on a few Facebook Lives throughout the day, some product demos and even a raffle. There will be a chance to purchase from my retired products garage sale and even earn some of the items in my garage sale FREE with my BOGO event. Buy from the new catalog and get some FREE from the old catalog. I will have more information about this on my blog and Facebook page, so be on the lookout.
As always, feel free to contact me at any time! I love to discuss all things stampy!
Sincerely,
Beth

Piece of Cake

Hi everyone. Today I thought I would share a card I  made for my daughter's Birthday party invitations. I used the Piece of Cake bundle to make them.  I love any stamp that has a matching paper punch! Don't you?  They just make stamping so much fun.
This punch punches out the two tired cake, as well as the cake stand! Love it. I used a bright a cherry Berry Burst for the card, as my daughter really liked this color.
I also made a version in Lemon Lime Twist that I thought I would make for a swap.   I can't decide which version I like better.
The Dot to Dot embossing folder was a fun background and it plays nicely off the dots on the bottom tier of the cake. I also used the Stitched Labels Framelits dies to anchor the cake to. I love these dies and here it just dresses up the card a bit. I also like to thread ribbon through the lacy sides of the die cut.  Here is a quick how to video for this project.

I love the watercolor wash background behind the cake, it makes it feel soft and dreamy.  I added ribbon in Berry Burst to both versions, one Ruffled Edge Ribbon and the other has a pretty Metallic Edge. On the inside I added a strip of paper that had Lemon Lime Twist in it. It is from the Broadway Birthday paper pack. I love using up scraps, and adding little strips of pattern to the insides of my cards helps me use them up.

So Hoppy Together Sale-a-Bration set

Hi everyone.  Today I want to share a new stamp set from this years Sale-a-Bration!  It is called So Hoppy Together and I think it is So Cute!
If you are not Familiar with Sale-a-Bration, it is an annual sale where you get free products when you make purchases.  There are two levels of products and the more you purchase the more you can get free.
The So Hoppy Together is a level one set, and free with a $50 purchase.
You can see the entire selection by clicking here: https://su-media.s3.amazonaws.com/media/catalogs/Sale-A-Bration%202019/20190103_SAB19-1_en-US.pdf

This card uses one of my favorite items from the new Spring Occasions catalog, the Well Said Bundle.  This is a HUGE bundle with 51 stamps and 24 dies.   The words can be mixed and matched with each other and the dies to fit a variety of occasions.  They are sized nicely too! Perfect for cards but also big enough to use on a scrapbook page or some home decor pieces.
I really like these dies and I know that I am going to get a lot of use out of them.  The cute little accent stamps are great too, the leaves and the flowering flourish will get a lot of use and the little butterfly can be cute on just about anything.

The bundle is a big one, but if you purchase the two items as a bundle you save 10%, and you also qualify for one of the Sale-a-Bration items.  You can choose the cute So Hoppy Together stamp set, or one of the other items from the catalog. There are lots of choices including ribbon and paper, wooden accents and even foil paper and dies!
Watch the video for some tips and tricks on making this card and adhering the skinny word dies with Stampin' Up! adhesive sheets.

I used Stampin' Blends to color my card, but if you don't have Stampin' Blends, try out other media such as the colored pencils (top right) and Stampin' Write Markers (bottom right).
