Sweet Jar stamp and paper punch bundle from Stampin' Up!

I really like a stamp and punch bundle. Punching shapes out of paper is oddly satisfying for me, so fun! I don't think I've ever passed on a stamp and punch bundle, maybe once. The Sweet Jar bundle is really fun because you can use it for a variety of occasions. Here I am using it for Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day.

I stared with a 'Postcard' base, meaning that the larger base does not open up. The smaller piece on top is the part that opens. I used Crumb Cake cardstock and a pretty gingham patterned paper from the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper pack. The smaller card on top is 8 by 3 inches, scored at 4 inches. I added a piece of Basic white to the outside and inside. The outside piece is embossed with the new Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder. On the inside I stamped my greeting. I used Bubble Bath as my pink for the ink, paper and ribbon.

The card for the St. Patrick's Day version is the same, but I changed the orientation of the smaller card panel, attaching it horizontally instead of in portrait style.

This stamp set is super fun. Fill the jar with hearts and clover but also cookies! I guess the cookies could also be medicine for a get well but I think the intention is to stamp them in something like a Crumb Cake or Pecan Pie ink and then add the speckles for chips in Early Espresso ink. Super cute set for sure.

Stampin' Up! also added another stamp set to coordinate with the Sweet Jar stamp set called Jar of Joy. This is a great add-on for the holidays. Fill the jar with a snowman or some cookies. I've used this set for Shaker Cards and it is really fun for that as well. The Jar of Joy stamps was a Holiday release and only available while supplies last.

To add the little hearts coming out of the jar I used a heart themed die cut set called Endless Love. I used Silver Foil paper to punch out the lid of the jar.

St. Patrick's Day card

OK, there are no stamps here, but I wanted to share it anyway. This card is a fun one and it uses Watercolors. I did mount the image onto my Garden Green Cardstock from Stampin' Up! :)

Some of you know that I teach a watercolor class at my local Park District and we painted a clover field last week. I usually make a mini version of the painting too. Sometimes people finish early and the mini version is a fun way to get a little more practice in. I thought I would share it since my Stampin' friends are also creative people and might like ti give it a try. You can paint it with some of you Stampin' Inks, or if you have some watercolors, you can use those too.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Today is the last day of Sale-a-Bration so I wanted to be sure to show this card before it is over, since I am using the fun Sunshine and Rainbows paper, free with a $50 purchase during February. The patterns in this paper are so bright and cheery. I plan to use this paper on a few Scrapbook pages as well.

You can change out the patterned paper if you are seeing this in March.

I am using the 'Flowers and Leaves' punch as four leaf clovers, stamped and punched in Granny Apple Green.

The tag is called the 'Essentials Tag Punch'. I punched the tag out from Misty Moonlight cardstock.

I used the new Happy And Heartfelt stamp set for the sentiment on the front of the card. I love the font used.

The sentiment on the inside is from the 'A Wish for Everything' stamp set.

Quick and Easy Shamrocks using Hearts

Hi Everyone! With St. Patrick's Day just around the corner you may be thinking "I don't have a Shamrock Stamp" (when I first typed Shamrock Stamp my fingers typed Shamrock Shake!! Yummy).
Well, have no fear because I am sure you have a heart stamp, or punch or die! I made a variety of St. Patrick's Day cards using a heart stamp and some heart shaped dies. You probably have several stamp sets that have a heart in them, or many dies or punches with hearts. I am using a heart from the Heart to Heart stamp set, which is new in the Spring Mini catalog. I also used heart dies from the Support Ribbon dies.

Another stamp set that is used in this card is the A Wish for Everything stamps and Word Wishes dies (buy them as a bundle and save 10%). Check out this video for tips and tricks...
