Playing around with the Ornate Garden suite

Hi everyone! Today I decided to just spend the afternoon with the Ornate Garden suite.  I really like this collection of products, and it is a really big collection.  There are TWO stamp sets, TWO die sets, Designer series paper, embellishments, an embossing folder and TWO colors of ribbon.  You can check out the whole collection here.

The paper in this collection has a nice little sneak peek in it, a new color! Bumble Bee! The new InColors will come out with the new catalog in June, so this is a little taste of one of the five. I am really looking forward to seeing the new colors.  Demonstrators will get to view the new catalog online in just a couple weeks! Yay!
This paper also features gold foil accents on one side of most of the papers, so pretty!

I made a video with an up close look at the whole product line, as well as some tips to use just some or all the products on your spring projects. There is also a step by step tutorial on a card made with this suite. Check it out!

This card uses Terracotta Tile as a base, with accents of Early Espresso.  The new ornate Floral Embossing folder is used on the background.

The main image on this card was colored in with Stampin' Blends and cut out. I am sure that I will be doing a lot of different coloring techniques with this stamp!

This card uses Crushed Curry paper and ink. The flowers were stamped in a neat row with the Stamparatus and colored in with Aqua Painters.

On this card I opted to just use the new paper and stamps, no dies, to show that you can still get some of that new product feel with out the more expensive die collections.

On this version I added the die around the Thank you..

I wanted to make a third version so that I could try out the smaller frame die and mix up my sentiments a bit.

This card features one of the new Ornate Border dies.  I paired the Crushed Curry cardstock with the Designer Series Paper which features the new "Bumblebee" color. I think it's pretty close.

Here again I am just using the paper with some stamp sets I already own.  It is nice to see that you can add some fresh new products to your collection without having to get it all.  I did use the new ribbon.  The ribbon comes in a pack. I really like this because normally you get one roll of 10 yard for $7, but here you get 2 rolls with 5 yards each for that same $7, but you have 2 colors.   I personally would easily use the whole 10 yards of one color because I do classes, but I think most people would rather have 5 yards of two different colors.  Good thinking Stampin' Up!

Shop with me! I would love to be your demonstrator.  I always send a hand stamped thank you card and sometimes more with a larger order, and I share my Stampin' Rewards with you through my Frequent Buyer Rewards! Earn FREE STAMPS! Click on the Frequent buyer tab to download the tracking sheet.
