Last day to get the Amazing $35 starter kit!

 

Friday is the Last Day to get the Amazing Starter Kit special!!  And even though it is Halloween, there are no tricks! All Treats!!  You get to choose ANY $125 worth of products and only pay $35.  That is AMAZING and really if you have $35 on  your wish list, that's like one stamp and die set, then this is a no-brainer!  There are NO further obligations.  Stock up on Adhesives or get some ink colors you don't have. Maybe you are a scrapbooker, you can get some of the scrapbook kits, maybe a new paper trimmer. There is just so much to choose from and there is something for everyone! 

Here are some common questions: 

Why would I want to join instead of stay a customer? When you join you get all the same sales and promotions that a customer gets, including Stampin' Rewards, but on top of that you also get some additional perks. You get a 20% discount to start, which can increase over time with sales. You get access to the Demonstrator Website and other online and in-person demonstrator communities. You get to purchase new products a month before they go live, see sneak peeks, and more. 

If I've joined before and stopped, can I still take advantage of a starter kit promotion again? Yes, you can join again! We all go through times when we have more time for hobbies and then times when we get too busy or want to do something else. You can join Stampin' Up! and take advantage of this deal even if you have done it before. 

Do I have to sell?  No, you do not.  You can make the starter kit your only purchase, or you can shop using your new discount for just yourself. 

How long do I get to keep the discount if I don't sell?  You will be considered active until the end of March 2036. After that, if you have sold or purchased $300 (before your discount), you will get an additional 3 months. Every three months after that if you sell of purchase $300 you can keep having access to the demonstrator discount and access to the online demonstrator portal to the demo website, online community and other demo perks. If you don't meet that goal, your access will end. That's it, no penalties or forced purchases. 

If I join as a hobbyist (not to sell to others) do I still get to attend all the online and in-person events? Yes, you can take part in the various online community events, craft nights, in-person large and small get togethers, and more.   

What types of non-sales perks are there? Stampin' Up! has a HUGE community and strives to keep us connected.  Connection is a big priority to our CEO and Stampin' Up! keeps us connected through many large and some smaller groups. There are several Online communities to join, some for idea sharing, or just crafting together, some for business building. They also pop in several different smaller groups through out the year to help people with other specific topics, such as staring an online presence or learning how to use the demo website or other things like that. They host demo craft nights online as well. There are also in-person events. There are several regions in the United States and each region has a manager. Those manager also host in-person events as they travel, and have online events too, usually in a private Facebook group.   

Why does Stampin' Up! need my personal info if I don't intent to sell?  Once you have access to the demonstrator website and purchasing discounts, you have the potential to earn money. Stampin' Up! offers volume rebates and other income opportunities, and as such they are required to let the  IRS know if you have earned money and prizes over a certain amount. They also need to have a way to pay you.  If you only make the minimums, you will probably never get a tax form, I didn't for several years after I joined for the discount when my children were little. As I started holding classes and selling, I started making enough money to not qualify as this being a hobby.  Each state may have a different threshold, I am not sure what those are, you would have to ask an accountant.  Stampin' Up! safeguards your info and I, nor anyone other than the payroll office, have access to any of your info.  They take this seriously. 

Can I really make money with Stampin' Up!?  Yes. You can make a little money on the side or make this to a bigger business. It's up to you.  I consider myself a 'business builder' now as I have a nice income coming in each month, but I put in the work. It's become a part time job for me, I put in about 25 hours a week, sometimes more.  I have friends who work harder at it and it shows in their income and rewards, several earn the Annual Incentive Trip each year.  It does take work, consistency and time to build a business, but it can be done, if you want.  Of just do it as you like and make a little income. When I first joined I just wanted the discount.  Then I wanted to earn a little side money to cover all my expenditures, so I was at a net zero for craft spending.  I really love arts and crafts and wanted to go back to taking art classes in watercolor and drawing. The classes I wanted to take cost a couple hundred dollars a semester and I wanted to cover all my 'fun' things so that I wasn't spending family money. My husband didn't care and always said I should take the classes, but it was a goal for me. I cover all my extra art classes, even added an acrylics class. I cover my large paint buying and art supply buying habits. I cover all my scrapbooking and card making fun, all my Stampin' trips to conventions including hotels and air fare, food and fun, all with my Stampin' Up! and teaching classes income.  Last year I even took money out of my Stampin' bank account and started an investment account.  

Why Join my Team?  I do not have a huge team, or a huge Stampin' Up! business, I would say it's small to middle size, but I do have a heart for sharing and stamping.  I can help you start up a blog, navigate the Demonstrator websites, YouTube or set up classes if you want.  We have a monthly card swap that you can join in on, a team Facebook Page to share the latest goings on. I give a discount to my classes to team members, Team members can use any of my class projects in their own classes after mine has run,  and if I make any project files or PDF's I share them on the Team Facebook Page.  Team meet ups in person and on zoom.  I go to just about all the big Stampin' Up! events, so I can help you navigate those if you want to road trip or meet up at an event.  You can participate in nothing or everything, it's up to you. 


As the seasons in our lives change, so can how you approach your Stampin' Up! hobby/business.  When my children were little I just bought from myself as my only customer. Then I started a very small scrapbook group with a few moms for several years.  As some of the moms had more children or went back to work, that group changed into a card class group and that has grown into a bigger card class each month.  When I had a third child I took a step back and only did a class now and then, but started a blog and selling a bit online.  As my children grew I stepped my business back up and do more classes again and more online as well.  That's the nice thing, the independence, you can do it how ever it works for you.  Someday in the near future we will be empty nesters! Yikes!!   Will I take a step back when my husband retires and do more traveling? Will I step it up and do more even more classes?  I don't know!  Will I ever stop? No! Not as long as I can help it! I love doing what I do and sharing what I love. I love the community of friends that I have made. 

This is my daughter making a scrapbook page. so cute.  She is now 16 and she helps me in my business cutting and prepping packets for my classes.  My little business gives her a little side cash as well, when she's not out and about driving all over that is!
