Santa Gift Card Holder

This is a fun little gift card holder we made at a recent Stamp Camp.  I really like this Santa Stamp from the Santa Stache stamp set.  The Santa is big and bold and easy to color, and that mustache is just begging to be popped up a bit and glittered don't you think?

Behind Santa is a pull out holder that says 'wishing you a "stache" of cheer.

I stamped the sentiment on a mustache to reinforce the theme.

Something I learned while making this card, Santa's beard fits the scallop punch! I knew I was going to cut off the mustache so I just cut right down and I was wishing that I didn't have to cut around the scallops and so on a whim I checked to see if it fit and it did! yea!  I colored Santa with my blendabilites

The mustache is pretty simple to cut out but a framelit makes it even easier!!

I used a two-way glue pen and some Dazzling Diamonds to give him a little sparkle.

The mustache was popped up on dimentionals to make it stand out even more.
I hope you like my Fun Santa project! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Snowy Pines

Hello Everyone!  Have you been looking over the Sales this week!  I have to admit that I have a little list myself.  How do I not have a 2" circle punch?  I thought I had all the punches but some how I missed that one.  I know, I have the circle framelits but punches are just so easy and fast so I need that too!  And Fast Fuse on sale?! YEA!  There are a lot of great things on sale.  If you missed the list, check it here.
I wanted to share a fun card we made at the last stamp camp.  The little window actually goes through to the inside of the card.  Two window sheets are sandwiched together with some fun sequins inside.

See how you can see all the way through?  When cutting out the layers place both pieces of cardstock through the Big-Shot at the same time to be sure you line them up just right.

We kept the window and images towards the top so that there would be room at the bottom for a greeting and signature.

The pinecone was stamped on soft suede card stock with Chocolate chip ink.  The addition of "snow" created with the white gel pen really adds some depth to the scene.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Give the Gift of Creativity

Did you know that Stampin' Up! has a monthly kit?  They do!  And you can sign up to get one each month, or just every once and awhile.  You can also send a subscription to someone else! The My Paper Pumpkin kits are a lot of fun and you don't need a whole stash of supplies on hand to complete the projects.  Everything you need is in the box.   Each month the kits are different, and they often are related to upcoming holidays or seasons.  Sometime they are cards, somethings favors or boxes, always fun!
Take a look at the November kit.
The kit made 8 cards and 12 tags.  It came with a fun snowflake stamp set, ink spot, silver bakers twine, silver washi tape, rhinestones, die cuts and glue dots.

Here is my completed card. Cute! Love the layered snowflake!

Check out the video.
You can also go to this Pinterest Page to see the past kits and alternate ways to use the kits.
And, If you are a My Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can get past kits and refills of past kits while supplies last.
Do you know someone who would love a little crafty time?  This would be a fun thing to do with a friend, share your kit or each order one, then get together once a month to put them together.  Sounds like a fun time to me!  Here is the cost breakdown, and a link to the flyer.
Contact me with any questions, I would be happy to help you out!

Wrap it up ~ Take out boxes

I love to give little gifts, usually food, to friends and neighbors, teachers and family, students and co-workers. I love to bake so cookies are the most common thing I need to wrap up.  Stampin' Up! always has really cute packaging and I always buy the boxes and bags to have on hand.  This Holiday, Stampin' Up! introduced a new box called the "Take Out box".  I really like the size and shape.  Not too big so you need to give away all your cookies, but big enough for a nice gift.

Isn't that a cute shape? slightly angled.

Stampin' Up! usually used Kraft paper for it's boxes, which is nice because it is really easy to take that in any direction.  This is a design we saw at convention this year, and we all got the set "Seasonally Scattered" so we could make this box.  I love the little wooden leaf and the glittery feather.
There are a lot of great packaging ideas in the large catalog as well as the Holiday catalog.  Take a look and see, Christmas is just around the corner and you will want some of these on hand for those last minute gifts.
