The Watercolors of Fall

Hello everyone!  I am still loving these leaves!!  The trees all around are starting to change and the weather this past week has been so perfect.  I just can't seem to put this set back on the shelf.

I started by making stencils with the Leaflet Framelit Dies.

Next I used sponge daubers to add ink in a few colors.  I used Tangelo Twist, Delightful Dijon, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler.  I used watercolor paper.

Here is is with the sponging.

Next I used my Aqua Painter to go over the sponged areas.  With the yellows and oranges I went pretty quickly but on the red and green leaves you have to go color by color or you will get a yucky brown mess.  I first did the green, then cleaned the brush and did the red, then just lightly blended the middle where they met.

Here is the finished piece.  So pretty!!

I made a few with just maple leaves, as those are my favorites, and a few with tight arrangements and loose arrangements.

I then added some of the stamped images from the Lighthearted Leaves in Basic Black.

I did one version with the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set and the other with the Vintage leaves stamp set.  I can't decide which I like better.  You?

I let the watercolor show more on these two.

I made a watercolor tag that I think turned out really fun.

This sentiment tag was made from the stamp set that came with this months My Paper Pumpkin.

Well, thanks for stopping by! I hope you get a chance to get outside this week and check out some pretty fall colors!

If you can only get one, I would go for the envelope board, there are some fun tutorials online for making boxes with it.

Fall treat bags from My Paper Pumpkin!

I love love love this months My Paper Pumpkin kit!  This kit makes 8 treat holders just perfect for all.   So cute!  I put one together right away and it was fun and easy.  I will have to get some yummy treats, maybe caramels or one of the fall flavors of Hersey kisses I have seen in the stores, before I make up the rest because you sort of need to try it closed and I don't want to tie and untie them until I have my candy.  These will be really fun for teacher thank yous before the thanksgiving break, or I can use the more Halloweenish stamps and make a bunch up for the kids on my block.  One of the perks of being a My Paper Pumkin subscriber is that you can purchase past kits or refills while supplies last, and I added another one of these to my last order.  The refill packs are just $8.00, so that is only $1.00 per treat bag!

I put the treat bag next to my Witch's hat!  I made those fun framed silhouettes last year.

If you have any questions about My Paper Pumpkin subscriptions, please feel free to contact me!

Baby Onesie Congratulations!

Hello everyone!  I needed a baby card this week so I thought I would share what I came up with.  I love this little onesie stamp from the "Something for Baby" set.  So cute!!  You can dress up the onesies with other accents from the set, as I have done here with the tie and flower.

How cute is this set for scrapbooks or pictures to hang up on the wall? Love it!

I started by stamping the hanger onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.
I also added the congratulations to the bottom.

Next I stamped the pieces for the onesies and cut them out with the coordinating framelits dies.  I popped them up on dimentionals so add some depth and make it look more like it was hanging on the hanger.

I placed the main image piece onto some Typset Designer Series paper and then onto a card base of Soft Sky.  I used Washi tape for a fun accent of color.  I used some from the Season of Cheer Washi tape pack, and also some from the Epic Day pack, which it on the Clearance Rack right now.  The Clearance rack is a great place to check out before you finalize your order.  Even though an item might be discontinued, it may still coordinate perfectly with current Stampin' Up! products and colors, like the Washi tape here! It is just $1.99 for 3 rolls!
