Stampin' Up! and Project Life = Fun playground page!
If you are not yet familiar with the Project Life cards here's the deal. There are different packs of cards made to coordinate with each other. They are sized to perfectly go into the pocket pages. They are double sided and all different so you are sure to find one that meets you needs. I have found that the best way to use them it to pick out your photos and place them where you think you want them, then shuffle through the cards to see what you have and what pleases your eye. Be sure to pick at least one card for journaling.
You can also get coordinating accessory packs to add a little more fun to your page.
The Journaling card is important because the photos need a story. Your children will thank you! BE SURE TO JOURNAL. Get over the whole "I don't like my handwriting" thing. Or, you could type out your journaling but that takes more steps and I really think your handwriting is not as bad as you think. We are always our own worst critics :)
See that big "HAPPY" card. That one is good as a break for your eye. There is a lot going on and one of the larger image cards are good to add a spot of color and to give the eye a rest.
You can also stamp on some of the journaling cards as I did here. The arrows on the page were part of the accessory pack.
Here is a little Project Life By Stampin' Up intro video.
There are a lot of different card packs for many occasions. Here is what I used...

my little artist
Hello everyone. First let me apologize for the photo, it is hard to take photos of 12 x 12 pages! At least it is for me. I will figure it out sooner or later but for now this is as good as it gets :)
This is my oldest son, now 13! He has been painting and drawing since he was able to hold a crayon. Love that! It's great when you share a hobby with your kids and they really take to it. All three of my children love to draw and paint and just create in general.
Does the layout look familiar? it is from the Sale-a-Bration catalog! And we used it a couple weeks ago at MDS Monday!
The stamps I used are also from the Sale-A-Bration catalog in a set called "Best Day Ever" and it is free with a $50 order. But, Sale-a-Bration ends tomorrow :(
heart punch and matching button with coordinating bakers twine. I love that Stampin' Up! offers coordinating papers and embellishments is such a wide variety. Makes me a happy girl!
I sued the ticket punch to make this little tab. The stamps are clear and I find them so easy to place. The "you" is actually a bigger stamp that says "you made my day". I just used markers to ink up the "you" and added it after the heart.
Thanks for stopping by! check out yesterdays post for details on the end of Sale-A-Bration!! You have one more day!

Watercolor Wash take two!
Hello everyone! I made another card using the same tecnique as yesterdays card, Watercolor Wash. So much fun!
In case you missed it, here is the video again!
And, for those of you who don't like to watch videos, here is a picture step by step.
Emboss your image in clear embossing powder.
Wash over the image with ink and your Aqua Painter.
Let it dry a few minutes and go over the inside of the image again with ink and your aqua painter.
Lovely!
Finish your card! Done, and so great looking! I always feel like an artist when I use my Aqua Painters!

Stampin' Up! Watercolor Wash with Aqua Painters ~ love!
Hello Everyone! This week Stampin' Up! release a fun new video showing the Watercolor Wash technique. I just love using my Aqua Painters as those of you who frequent my blog know. I loved the card made in the video and had to make a version of it right away.
You start this technique by embossing your image with clear embossing powder onto watercolor paper. Make sure you find some open line images.
Hopefully you can see the shine on the embossed flowers in the photo. :)
Next take your Aqua Painter and quickly wash over the images. work quickly here, you don't want to get stark lines, you want a lighter quick wash.
Once you have the whole base washed over the card, you need to let it dry a bit. Now is a great time to put together your card base. This will dry quickly so its not a big deal.
Then go over JUST THE PETALS with the Aqua Painter again. use a slightly drier brush this time.
This is really going to make those flowers stand out.
