Super Simple Pocket Card

Hi Stampin' Friends!  I made this super simple Pocket Card for a Team Card Swap and also for my last Stamp Camp.  For the Team Swap our theme was to showcase some Designer Series Paper.  As I looked at my paper stash I found this paper pack that I hadn't used yet called To Market.   Staring at the pack I saw a bunch of veggies, and while they where cute, they were not my thing and I think that's why I kept passing over this pack.  But I remember buying it and wanting it, so I opened it up to see the rest of the papers and I remembered why.  This paper has some really fun plaids and florals, as well as a wood grain paper.  Now I remembered why I bought it.  The poor paper has sat unused for far too long, so finally it was going to get it's day to shine.  The Pocket Card uses several of the fun patters.  This paper pack made it really easy to mix and match the patterns.

Here is a look at the smaller card from the pocket.

And the inside of the card.

I have a full how to tutorial with measurements for this Simple Pocket card on my YouTube channel.

I used the Sentimental Park Stamp Set for this card.  This is a great set to have on hand because the set has sentiments for so many occasions.  Some people at Stamp Camp used the Thanks as I showed on my example, and some changed it up for a Birthday card by using the Let's Celebrate on the outside and putting the Happy Birthday on this inside.  This set also has a Happy Anniversary stamp, which is harder to find.

The dies that go with this set are also very pretty. I love the flowers that are on the sides of the labels, some solid, some outlines.

You can switch out this papers and stamps to make this card for any occasion.

Everyday Happiness Scrapbook page

Yay!! A scrapbook page!! It has been way too long since I posted a scrapbook page.  Way too long since I posted in general, but even longer for a scrapbook page.  Some of you know that I joined Stampin' Up! because I love scrapbooking.  When I was much younger with only one child, my husband was sent to Iraq as the Corpsman for a Marine Sniper Unit.  I wanted to scrapbook all the things our little guy was doing while Ben was away.  Way back then, Stampin' Up! used to sell "Simply Scrappin' Kits", who remembers those?  I loved them.  They had papers and coordinating sticker sheets to create beautiful pages.  They stopped selling them many years ago. Since the scrapbooking company Close To My Heart closed down, many of their employees have come to work for Stampin' Up! and many of their Demonstrators too!  So, YAY ME!! More Scrapbooking products!!  Hopefully Yay You too!!

This page is part of a monthly challenge with a Facebook Page I am part of called Scrapbooking Global-Stampin' Up!    You can find lots of scrapbook inspiration there! I hope you will join me there!

This month's challenge is a Sketch Challenge brought to us by Julia Quinn.

Here is the sketch.  You can join us at the Facebook group and add a page that you made with this sketch, we would LOVE to see it!!

And here is my page again. I used the new Everyday Happiness papers for my page.

I also used the coordinating Everyday Happiness stamp set. Stampin' Up! has several new papers and stamps designed to work great for Scrapbooking titles. You can see the new line up at the Online store, look at the Memory Keeping section.

I also used some additional stamps, such as the new Elements of Text stamp set for the background. I keep a little basket of left over die cuts on my desk, and these little trees and birds were in that basket.  The birds are from the Frosted Forest Dies and the tiny tree line are from Encircled in Nature.

The Everyday Happiness papers have my favorite color, Lost Lagoon! Pretty Peacock is a very close second and I also really like Wild Wheat, so this paper was a must for me.

You can also get this paper as part of a scrapbooking kit! The kit makes 3 double page spreads complete with a cutting guide and how to photos to make it effortless.  Take a look at all the pre-planned kits here.

I hope you like the page!  And that you will give the sketch a try.  Follow along to see what the others have created with the sketch!

Heart Shaped Swing Card

Have you ever made a Swing Card? They are pretty simple and give a fun surprise when opened. You can use any shape of die to cut the center out.  Here I have used a heart die from the Hearts of Elegance dies.

See this card in action.

Here is the card when opened.  The heart switches to the back side when the card is pulled open.

I used the Country Woods Designer Series Paper for the backgrounds of the card. I love the white washed wood paper that you can stamp right on top of.  It looks like someone stenciled some flowers on an old wooden cabinet.  The colors are Moody Mauve and Lost Lagoon.

I have a FREE full tutorial for this card with some tips and tricks to get it just right.

The Hearts of Elegance is a really nice stamp set with fantastic dies.  I just love the variety of sizes in the hearts!  The photo doesn't do justice to the sizes. In reality, the largest heart is over 4 inches! Love!

What's Up with all the BEES?

 Hi Stamping Friends.

I have had a couple questions about the new Bee products in the Online Store and I thought I would take some time to show them all to you because they are so cute! There is some overlap with the older Bee My Valentine set from a year ago, but some big differences too.

The New Bee Products are all in the Online Only Scrapbooking Brochure.  They are so cute and I love the Die Set that was made to go with them.  One of the questions I got was "Do the new dies cut out the old bees?" Yes!  And does the Bee Builder Punch work with the new Meant to BEE stamp set? Yes! so you can get either stamp set and either cutting method, you just have to decide which you like best. The new Stamp Set 'Meant To Bee' has larger fonts, meant to work on larger Scrapbook pages as title or accents.  The older 'Bee My Valentine' has smaller font sizes, meant to work with card making.

The original Bee My Valentine is adorable with a lot of pieces to build a really cute scene. I love that different faces that you can give your bee, particularly that side eye stamp at the top!  The sentiments are great for everyday, but with Valentine's Day around the corner, this is a good one to have. It costs $21 in the US.

The Bee Builder Punch is super cute and I really love the versatility. The bee body can also be a speech bubble! the hearts are for the wings and the smaller heart actually also punches out the antenna! This is a cute punch on it's own or with the stamps. The punch costs $24 in the US.

The new Meant To Be stamp set has larger size sentiments, great for a scrapbook page but not too big for some cards too.  The largest bee is the same as the bee in the original stamp set, so it will work with the Bee Builder Punch.

You can get the Meant to BEE stamps on their own, or pair them with the new Meant To BEE die set! I love that this die set has such large hexagon dies.  The scrapbook page pictured shows how you can use them for a large page layout.  I had to get the set just for the hexagons! The bees are a bonus since I already had the punch.  The bundle is $49.50 in the US.

The new Meant to Bee dies are also available on their own, so you can pair them with either stamp set.  The dies are $35 in the US.  If you already have the older Bee My Valentine, this is probably the way to go.

The 'Cute as Can Bee' Designer Series Paper is just that, cute as can be!  It's been recolored for 2025 and instead of Poppy Parade, it now has Fresh Freesia!  I love the paper with the little jars of honey! so sweet!  This paper is $12.50 in the US.

Also available is the Meant To Bee Scrapbooking Workshop.  This kit contains everything needed to make 3 pre-designed double page 12x12 spreads.  There is a booklet with step by step cutting guides and photos of just how to put it all together. You will have lots of left over papers and die cuts to use on some card projects, or to go rouge on anther page.

Here are what the pre-designed pages look like.

The Meant To Bee Scrapbooking Workshop kit costs $33 in the US.

If you love to scrapbook but don't want pre-designed pages, you can get the pattered paper and sticker sheet and get creative with some pages on your own. This pack contains 12 sheets of pattered paper, same as in the paper pack, but with an added 12x12 sticker sheet.

The cost of the Cute As Can Bee paper and sticker sheet pack is $17 in the US.

Here is a video showing these products.
