Veteran's Day Thank You

Each year the church I attend has a small gift for the Veterans on Veteran's Day. I am the person who is usually asked with making them and so I thought I would share what I made this year.

I used the Stars Treat Bags from the July to December mini catalog as well as some stars cut from the Give it a Whirl dies as embellishments. I printed the sentiment out on my computer onto white cardstock and then cut them out with the Tailor Made Tags dies.

These bags would be great for Christmas too! or birthdays! so cute! Whenever Stampin' Up! sells some cute bags or treat packaging, I always get a pack to have on hand because you never know when you are going to need a quick gift.

I love that the stars on the bag give a little peek into the bags to show the tissue color behind. I left the bags white, but they can easily be stamped, sponged or sprayed in other colors.

Pumpkin Spice Pull Up Pouch

Hi everyone. Today I want to share a super easy pull-up pouch treat holder. I use these all the time with Hot Chocolate! They are great for teachers, coworkers and more! This year as I went to look for hot chocolate, I found Pumpkin Spice hot cocoa!! What? I had to get it. I bought 3 boxes because we often have 16-18 people at Stamp Camp, plus one for my sample. The boxes each contained 8 packs. The next morning I noticed a wrapper on the counter. I figured that it was not a big deal since I had a few extra packs and thought to just move the boxes to an area in my office where the kids wouldn't see them. I tossed the wrapper and noticed another wrapper in the trash can. I looked closer to see several wrappers! And there was a completely empty box in the recycling! Back to the grocery store to get some more. This time I added a sticky note telling my family to keep their hands off.

One sheet of cardstock makes two pouches, which makes these easy but also inexpensive. I have a full how to with measurements in my YouTube video.

Hello Harvest bundle from Stamin' Up!

Hi everyone. Today I am sharing a card from last week's Stamp Camp. We used the Hello Harvest stamp set and Rustic Pumpkin die bundle.

This card had a lot of techniques! I wanted to watercolor, so I added the emboss resist technique and my technique for the card. As I was making the card I really liked that large banner sentiment, but I wasn't sure if everyone would want to use the same saying. The words are part of the banner image, so I showed how to use a marker to selectively stamp just the outline, then add any words to the inside. Technique 2, selective stamping. As I put my card together I decided that the background needed a little something so I added some color with the Blending Brush, Technique 3! Finally I added some of the leaves and one color just wouldn't do, so I stamped first with Cajun Craze, then added a touch of Mossy Meadow with a sponge before stamping the image onto White Cardstock, Technique 4! That was a lot! I think the cards are pretty though and I love the end result. See full how to video here:
