TIPS: The Gilded Leafing is packed tightly in the container and is super light so it can "float" around easily. Open the container carefully and consider storing the leafing in a larger storage container with a lid. This makes the leafing easier to use and also easier to return excess leafing once done.

Approaching Perfection

I love the fun and witty sentiments in the Approaching Perfection stamp set. Here I paired it with the Flower Field Designer Series Paper. The sentiments are a great add to my stamp collection! I love the "News Flash" stamp the best, but the "Bad News/Good News" stamp and Approaching Perfection stamp are a very close second. So Fun!

The Flower & Field Designer Series Paper is bold and bright. I like the backgrounds are dark, usually they are white or lightly colored. One side is floral, the other not, so I am sure I will get a lot of use out of this paper.

Sand And Sea Suite

Today I want to show you the Sand and Sea Suite from Stampin' Up! This is a large collection and it has a bit of everything. There is a Stamp set of course, but also a die and embossing folder to match! The coordinating papers are amazing and there are fun stickers and opal gems as well.

I played around with this suite all day, making some of the samples from the catalog as well as making up some of my own. I was able to get a good feel for the whole line and use all the elements. I hope you will take a look at the cards I made and check out the Sand And Sea Suite.

This first card uses a Mint Macaron wash on Shimmery White cardstock for the background. I love the color combination here, Mint Macaron, Pretty Peacock, Rococo Rose and Cinnamon Cider.

This next card uses that amazing die with the coordinating embossing folder on the beautiful Pearlescent paper. I added color by sponging with Flirty Flamingo, So Saffron, and Seaside Spray.

This next card might be my favorite because I love to watercolor and that is how I made the water background. I also made the 'sand' with stamps from the set.

This next card is almost like the one above it, but instead of creating the water and sand on my own, I let the papers from the Sand And Sea Designer Series Paper do all the work.

Take a closer look at the detail on these stamps! I love the way the distinctive' style stamps give the images lots of texture.

This next card focuses on the shells from the paper. There are two sheets of shells that you can cut out and use on your projects!

This card also uses the cut shells from the Sand and Sea paper, but the star of the show here is the Seashells 3D embossing folder.

I hope you'll take a close look at the Friends are like Seashells stamp set. I love the images but also the variety of sentiments.

The colors and patterns in the Sand And Sea Designer Series Paper or just lovely. The colors are Seaside Spray, So Saffron, Flirty Flamingo, Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride and Mango Melody.

The embossing folder is amazing on it's own but even more amazing when combined with the coordinating dies.

Forever and Always

Hi Everyone! This weekend I played around with the Forever and Always bundle! . There is a large "love" and "Always: and then lots of add-ons that you can pair with those words.

I paired the bundle with the True Love Designer Series Paper! This is a collection of Black and White paper that you can leave as is, or color to fit your needs.

For this version I used Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends as well as a Highland Heather light on the tips of the flowers. The leaves were colored with Mossy Meadow. I added Sequin Accents from the Artistry Blooms Adhesive Backed Sequins collection. I colored the Ribbon with a sponge and Rich Razzleberry ink.

On this second version, I used Daffodil Delight for the Flowers and Old Olive on the leaves. The Crinkle White Ribbon was colored with a sponge and Daffodil Delight ink. The sequins are from the Artistry Blooms Collection.

This final Version uses Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends with a touch of Pool Party on the flower tips. The leaves are in Granny Apple Green. I used Blue Adhesive Backed Gems on this version, because the shimmer on the gems has a touch of gold to it, which I thought played off the gold embossed 'Love" nicely.

The True Love Designer Series Paper was colored in and then cut out by hand. Here is a close up of the 'Love' stamp. I used the coordinating die to partially cut the word out, leaving the bottom half of the word still attached to the Basic Black Cardstock strip. This is a fun technique and you can see the how to in the video below.
