Warm Wishes Paper Pumpkin Kit and Crockpot Christmas Crunch

Today I put together my Warm Wishes Paper Pumpkin kit.  I thought I would show you how cute they turned out, and what I filled them with.

I love the treat packaging from Paper Pumpkin because I think that it's a nice way to show appreciation for coworkers, teachers, or anyone who makes you life a little easier.  I plan to give these to the people on the Hospitality Team at the church I attend. These are the greeters, ushers, translators.  There are a group of about 18 of us, so I used 3 Paper Pumpkin kits, with a couple left over.

Here is a quick video on how to put them together.

The packaging is Food Safe, so you can fill it with some homemade treats or something treats purchased from the store. They are not super big, which is great for me since I just want a little thank you. I also needed to make a lot, and these will not break the bank.

Non-food items are great too, such as some lotion or Chapsticks for the winter weather.

I filled mine with Crockpot Christmas Crunch.  I had to put them together fast because my husband kept eating it all and I was worried that I would run out.

If you would like to try it, here is the recipe.

Crockpot Christmas Crunch

Ingredients:

24 ounces of White Candy Melts

I bag White Chocolate Chips (approx 12 ounces)

32 ounces of Lightly Salted Dry Roasted Peanuts

4 cups Mini Pretzels (lightly crunched, it's OK if there are some bigger pieces)

1 1/2 bags of Mini Holiday M&M's

Directions:

Add the Candy Melts, Peanuts and White Chocolate Chips into a Crockpot on low and allow to heat for an hour. Depending on your crockpot, you may need to let them heat for an hour and a half. Check at an hour and see it the Candy Melts have gotten soft enough to stir.   Turn off the Crockpot.  Add the pretzels and mix. Add half a bag of the M&M's and mix.  Drop by large spoonfulls onto a parchment lined baking tray, adding more of the M&M's on top as you go. You want some M&M's inside, but also some on top for the nice red and green color. Don't wait until you are all done to add the M&M's on top of the candy with have hardened and they wont stick.  Allow to completely cool and enjoy!

Changes to the Monthly Paper Pumpkin kits

Paper Pumpkin kits have been getting better and better each month! And now, beginning in January 2024, they are going to have a quarterly add-on!

These add-ons will be die sets that coordinate with 3 months of Paper Pumpkin kits.  The dies will not be necessary to complete the kids, so don't worry if you don't have a die cut machine. These are just a fun add-on to use with your stamp sets once the kit pieces are all used up,

First up is the Love of Spring die.  4 dies in all, one for each month and then a nice label to use anytime.

February's kit will make9 projects, 3 each of 3 designs. There will be cards and gift boxes.

You will get all the supplies to make the projects, as well as a stamp set and Early Espresso ink spot.

Magical Meadow Winter Card

I love love love this collection of products. The stamps make a soft image due to the way the rubber is engraved. The images are made with teeny tiny dots so that you get darker and lighter areas all with one stamp.  The dies cut out all the stamped images but there are also additional dies that made a variety of stems and sprigs for beautiful embellishments on your cards.  The stamp set and dies are retiring very soon, so act quickly.

The Winter Meadow paper is all my favorite colors with Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock and it has a watercolor look, which I LOVE! I am so glad this paper is NOT going away at the end of the month but will be available for a little longer.

Here is the inside of the card. I was able to get two colors of ink on my stamp by using Stampin' Write Markers to ink it up. I used Shaded Spruce and Misty Moonlight.   I was worried that those pretty sprigs would get lost on the card with the patterned paper, so I added a circle cut with the Deckled Circles dies.

This would be a pretty Holiday card or change up the sentiment an use it for a Winter Birthday.

Easy Gift Card Holders

I love this gift card template because it is just so simple and still uses a half sheet of cardstock as it's base.

You can use any papers, colors or themes with this too, so it's a perfect card template to have in your crafting know-how.

For my version, I used the Modern Garden stamp and Garden Walk Designer Series Paper. I love this stamp set because it has both Christmas stamps but also Birthday and even a congratulations that could be nice for a wedding. The paper pack has both a holiday vibe and any day looks as well.

This stamp set is in the mini catalog, so it will retire very soon.  The paper punch is a great one too, and I am glad that it will not be retiring.  I used the punch for both the label for the greeting and also a notch for the gift card.

For this Christmas version I used Pretty Peacock and Wild Wheat cardstock. I added Poppy Parade to the colors for the stamped flowers on the inside.

To create this card, you need to cut a sheet of cardstock in half along the long side, to end up with a 4 1/4 by 11 piece.  Score at 5 1/2 and 9 1/4.   The little scored area gets folded to the inside to create the pocket.  Punch out a notch before you glue it down. Make sure you only add adhesive to the edges so that you don't seal the pocket closed.  Once you have that card base down, you can decorate it as you wish.

I used the Modern Label punch as a way to keep the card closed, so Thick Basic White cardstock is a good choice.  When attaching the label to the card, only add some dimensionals to the right side so that you can tuck the card front under.  Using dimensionals instead of just gluing the label down flat gives you a little more room to tuck the cover.
