Re-Post Bunny candy bar

This was a super popular post last year, so I thought I would put up a picture of it again this year.  He was super fun to make and if you follow this link, you can see the origianl post that shows all the items needed to put it together.

The "Happy Easter" is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  The wrap on the candy bar is determined by the type of candy bar you use.  I have some measurements of popular candy bars on my Santa and Grinch candy bar post.

Here is another thing you can make with the cute Bunny...

NEW Stampin' Up Online Class!

Our new online stamping class is now available! This class shares innovative ideas to get the most out of your supplies (from stamps to the Big Shot) with clever tips and techniques. Divided into six sections focused on a variety of topics, this class includes videos, step outs, and supply lists for 30+ projects. Check it out and talk about it. At $14.95 (item 133385) it's a great value for anyone.
PC InstructionsThe files will be downloaded as archive files that you can then extract and save on your computer. When you click on the download link, an extraction program will automatically launch. Choose the location where you would like to save the files (be sure to note where you save them). Follow the prompts on the extraction program, then navigate to the location where you saved the files. Click on the file and open.
Mac Instructions
When you click on the download link, the file will be mounted as a drive. Once it is mounted, open the drive and drag and drop the files to the location of your choice on your hard drive. The files can then be opened.

I checked out the section on coloring, since that has been what I've been working on for a while with the Everybunny set.  I thought I was a pretty good colorer (is that a word?) but after seeing the work on the projects in the online class, I am definately going to take it up a notch.  The instructions talked about going over your watercoloring with the matching marker color to shadow and highlight.  Never thought of that.  And the video showed watercoloring with the aqua painters.  I usually use Blender pens, but I will have to get out my Aqua Painters a bit more, the look of them is really soft and pretty.

There are 7 videos and 30 projects with instructions and supply lists.
To purchase, just go to my online store and add item #133385 to your cart.  You can then download it right away, no shipping!!  Sale-a-bration is still going on though, so if you have a few other things you want, remember that if you spend $50 until march 22, you get to choose a Sale-A-Bration item free (there is shipping on that though.)

If you do use MDS and purchase a lot of downloads (who me??) , you will have to tell your computer where to store your online class. When I went to download it, the computer wanted to put it right into my MDS file.  I cancelled the download and restarted it by clicking "save as" and putting it in my documents instead.  You can save it any where you want, but I have a nice folder of things like this in my documents so that's where I put it.
Let me know if you have any questions!!  I am always happy to help you out!

Everybunny Two

The set is just so cute I had to use it again.  This time I went with the hot air balloon bunny.  I love that he is dropping little blossoms from the balloon.  I decided to use the In-Colors for my pallet.  The card base is Primrose Petals.  I added a layer on top that went through the Chevron Embossing Folder.  The Chevron folder is the perfect compliment to the Easter egg.  The Ribbon is also Primrose Petals.
I stamped my main image onto a piece of scrap Whisper White paper.  I then lined up the Labels Collection Framelit where I wanted it, and ran it
through the Big Shot.

Notice that my balloon has been cut off.  This is OK, because we are going to stamp another one.

You don't need to stamp the whole image the second time, because all you need is the balloon.

I used Blender Pens ( # 102845 $9.95) to color the image in,.  When you use blender pens its a good idea to use Stazon Black (#101406 $7.95)  as your black ink, because it wont smear when you color in near it.  I also like to start with the lightest colors and work my way to the darkest.  I do this because with Blender pens you use the same pen for each color.   I like to pick up color by pressing the lid down while the ink pad is still closed.   When you open the pad, there will be a nice splotch of ink that you can use to color in your image.  Pick up some ink and start to color.  I like to start in the corners of my image where you might like the ink to be darkest, then work my way to the middle.  If you need to get more ink, remember to either write a bit on scratch paper or start back at the sides again so you don't get a much darker line in the middle of where you already colored.
In between colors, scribble the pen onto your scratch paper to finish off the last of the ink.  Now you are ready to pick up some ink in another color.

I then cut out the egg and glued it in place.

Happy Easter Everybunny

I think the images in the Everybunny stamp set are so cute.  (#122707  $19.95 for clear mount)
I am one of those people who still like to color, way past my elementary school days.  This stamp set is perfect for coloring.  One of the ways I like to color is with Blender Pens (#102845 $9.95 set of 3).  Blender Pens give a more water colored look than coloring with straight markers, but are easier than real watercolor because they are less "wet" and give more control.  Simply pick up ink with the pen, I use the lid of my ink pad, and color.  One pen can be used for all your colors because once you are done with your color, simply run the pen over some scratch paper till it runs clear, then pick up some more ink with your second color.  You can also pick up color from pastels or watercolor crayons.
Here is how I do it.  I squeeze the lid of my ink pad so that the inside of the lid touches the ink pad.  Then when I open the lid, there is a nice bit of ink ready for me.

I shadowed around my image with just a bit of Bashful blue to make the image pop even more off the paper.  Sometimes I use River Rock for the shadow, but I went with blue this time since the bunny was brown.

Aren't they cute?

Band Aid card and a Button Tip

This card is inspired by one I saw at SplitcoastStampers the other day.  I love how she used the band Aid to repair the torn paper!  So clever.  I had some pre-cut paper left over
from my Stamp-A-Stack on Saturday, so I decided to use it to make my own version.  Hope you like it.

The band aid is popped up on dimensionals.  I stamped one band aid on white in Island Indigo, and one on Tangerine Tango.  I cut out the Tangerine heart and glued it on top of the Indigo one.

Button tip!!

At the Stamp-A-Stack on Saturday one of my stamper friends had a neat trick for threading a button!  I loved it, so I had to share it!  I don't like empty buttons for some reason.  I know that they are perfectly fine and it is just me, but I just can not leave a button empty.  Lois, was using this tiny blue thing to thread her buttons and I just had to know what it was.  Turns out it is a flosser for dental work!
So later that day I had to go to the grocery store and I went into the dental aisle and I found a few varieties.  I bought this one because it came with a little holder, so I can pack them in my stampin' tool case and take them with me and not lose them.
I realized that I have a much bigger version on this for my daughters hair!  How simple!

Just place the end of the string through the large opening, and then place the pointy end through the button!  So fast and easy.   The flosser thing is super flexible too, so you can bend it into
tight spaces.   Thanks Lois!!!

Rapunzel

Wow!  Eleven Days since my last post!!  Where has the time gone?  Valentine's day, that's where.  Zachary and Jillian each got an afternoon of craftiness to make their Valentine's day boxes for school, then the other days where filled with the preparing for Zachary's class party, my Wednesday night religious ed class party, and my Stamp-A-Stack on Saturday! So no crafty posts to my blog, but a whole lot of craftiness for me.  Here is Jillian's Valentine's box.   It's on the small side, so not great for a big class.  She only has 8 in her class so it was perfect.  We were surfing on Pinterest for some ideas and as soon as she saw this, it was settled.  The box is actually an oatmeal container.  I wrapped it in some retired Stampin' Up! paper that I have been hoarding because I love it.  I can't remember the name though.   I traced a small plate for a circle to make the lid.

I used the Bird Builder punch (#117191) to make the vine that is climbing up Rapunzel's tower.  I placed the vine over the seam.  The flowers are punched from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (#118309). I added little Pearls (#119246) and Rhinestones (#119246) to the flower centers.

I searched the photos on my computer for a picture of Jillian and I found this photo that was perfect!  I printed it out and hand cut a window to go around it, complete with shutters.  I  used some old Embroidery Floss to make a braid and stuck it through a hole I made in the picture just under her hair clip.
Jillian LOVES her box, she has it filled with chap stick and hair clips now that the party is over.

Zachary's box was a "Minecraft" Creeper, nowhere near as cute and pretty but he loved it just the same.  If you don't have young boys you may not recognize it.  Minecraft is a game with odd looking digital creatures and buildings, so we cut out a ton of squares with the square punch (#119877) in various shades of green, since creepers are green.  The kids in his class knew exactly what it was even though I didn't, so I guess we did a good job :)
I also made 50 of these heart shaped Woopie pies.   This week we are back to normal, so look for posts on a more regular basis!

Bloomin Marvelous color challenge

Playing along with the color challenge over at the Creative Crew at Splitcoast stampers.  The colors for this challenge were Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla, Pretty in Pink, Raspberry Ripple, and Primrose Petals.  I think they look really pretty together.  I used my markers to ink up the sentiment stamp (from the Feel Goods set in the spring catalog) I used the darker ink on the words "Believed, could, and Did" so that they stood out more.  I cut out an oval in the top layer with my Ovals Collection framelits dies, and pierced around it with the co-ordinating piercing template.  I popped the top layer up with dimensionals and used a sponge to add some slight color around the opening and edges of the card.  The flowers are from the Bloomin' Marvelous stamp set (FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration).  Pearls and Ribbon complete the card.
Ovals Collection Framelits #129381  $26.95
Occasions Paper Piercing Pack # 129387  $7.95

Feel Goods stamp set #129684   $18.95

Spring Collage

In the past I have made some Christmas collages, and as I was putting away the one I made this past Christmas, I decided to make one for spring.  The collages make me smile when I see them, so why only see them once a year?  I love paper punches, so my collages tend to use a lot of punches.  Probably my most favorite is the owl punch.  Too cute!  I also used some new items from the spring catalog.  The bottle caps were fun to use, as was the pinwheel die.  I also used the new Bitty Butterfly punch layered with the butterfly punch from the large annual catalog.  I love punches that layer.

The super cute "Itty Bitties" fit nicely in the smaller bottle caps.  56 tiny images, cute.

I filled the bottle caps with a circle layer and a stamped flower layer.

I smooshed the bottle caps by running them through the Big Shot, fun!

Owl holding some flowers made from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack.
Flowers made from the Boho Blossoms punch.  The centers are made from In Color brads, Dahlias and buttons.

Small bottle caps.

Love stamp from the new Ciao Baby set and punched out with the new Petite Curly Label punch (free with $50 purchase in the new Sale-a-Bration catalog).

Owl Builder punch sitting on a branch made from the Bird Builder punch.
Hearts made from the Scalloped Hearts Embosslit and the Fashionable Hearts Embosslits.

 Pinwheel sizzlit die
Large bottle cap stamped with the Collage Curios stamp and the "Friend" from Tiny Tags.

Now is a great time to stock up on all those cute little things you can find in the spring catalog.  For every $50 you spend, you can choose an item from the Sale-a-Bration catalog for FREE!  click on the link at the right to view the Sale-A-Bration catalog, and as always, feel free to contact me with any questions.

February Specials

I think this new set is super cute, and since I am going on Vacation soon, it is perfect for me!  I plan on getting the digi version for my Hawaii pages, the papers are very cute, probably the stamp version too because I think it would be cute to decorate my envelopes with these stamps.

And, if that wasn't enough, check out this months "Best of 25 Years" stamps.  I don' think I mentioned this promotion in January so I will do it now...
Stampin' Up! is celebrating 25 years!!  Each month they are going to reintroduce a special stamp set that is made up of retired stamps of the past, plus one new never before released stamp.  In January they had a "Best of Birthdays"  and in February they have "Best of Love".  I did not get the Best of Birthdays because as it turns out I had most of those still, but the Best of Love made me smile.   When we were dating, my husband signed a note to me with a picture of an Olive and a "U".  I asked what that was about and he said "I don't know, I felt like drawing an olive" and played dumb.  So, the cute olive stamp makes me smile.   The "Best of" Stamps are going to be $14.95 clear mount only, and when you buy 6 you get one FREE.  You get a sticker and for each set, and a card to keep them on.  Send in your completed card and get one free.   Here is the January set "Best of Birthdays".

Thanks for stopping by today!!  And Don't forget, when you spend $50 you get to choose a FREE item from the SALE-A-Bration catalog!! Even on Clearance Rack items!!
