Can't Believe it!

I can't believe that the year is almost over!!  And that the Holiday Catalog is coming to an end.  I think this was one of the best Holiday Catalogs from Stampin' Up! and as I clear off my shelves to make room to house new spring merchandise, and re organize older sets for later use,  I am amazed at what I still feel I need more of!  For example, I didn't realize that I only had one used set of the Washi tape from the Presents and Pine cones collection!  Definitely need to fix that!  I love Washi Tape! 

I also had to stock up on Baker's Twine. I use that quite a bit on favors and things, and with Valentines Day just around the corner, that Real Red and Sparkly red and white will get a lot of use for several more weeks.  But maybe I need one more of the trio pack? I only have the one green!

I also might need to get another pack of the Mica Flakes.  I wasn't sure I needed the green, but now that I have used it a bit, I think I may need some more!

Greetings from Santa

Hi Everyone!  I wanted to share a card I made last week.  This card is super simple and yet so pretty.  The die is called Detailed Santa Thinlits and the stamp set is called Greetings from Santa.  I used this set on the Naughty or Nice card yesterday.  I know that Christmas cards need to go into the mail by now, but it is a good time to get some deals and I thought I would show this card anyway because the stamp set is on sale right now as part of the Year End Close Outs!  Normally, I would tell you to purchase the bundle when one is available, however on this one, you can save a little bit by purchasing the items separately.  The stamp set is one sale, so it makes it less expensive if you buy the sale stamps and the regular price dies.

  I used Red Glimmer paper behind the die cut image and it really looks great.  Love the sparkle. 

The bakers twine also has a sparkle and is retiring soon, so act quickly if you want to grab the twine as well.

Naughty or Nice

 Hi everyone!  I thought I would share this fun gift card holder that uses the Twist technique.  I found the technique and instructions here at one of my favorite sites.   The card ends up with a pocket on the front and on the inside, so it is great for money or gift cards.  I decided to not use the pocket on the front, so I sealed it shut.

I thought it would be fun to do a Naughty or Nice card and so I used the Greetings from Santa stamp set.  I used markers to make the two words really stand out.

On the inside I used a marker to only ink up the work "Nice."    Fun right?

Grinch Punch Art

Hi everyone.  Today I thought I would share some punch art of a Grinch.  I revised an old post to make the Grinch using current products.  Here is my original post from 2012.  I get a lot of questions on how to make that Grinch, but it used a lot of retired products since the post was so old.  I looked through my punches and remade the Grinch using current products.  Now when I say current, I mean that as of today.  The Jolly Hat Builder Punch is retiring!!!  That is such a great punch that I can't believe that it is not staying around, but I am glad that I have it and I really think you should pick one up while you can!  And, it's on sale!!  Another thing that is retiring and on sale is the Naughty or Nice stamp! It is from a set called Greetings from Santa.   Check out all the Year End Close Outs here!

The Grinch's head is made from the Acorn Punch.  The nose is a foot from the Owl Builder Punch, as are his yellow eyes.  The eyebrows are from the Sprinkles confetti punch.  The Hat is the Jolly Hat Builder punch.

I use Old Olive for his head, So Saffon for his eyes, and Early Espresso for his eyebrows.  The hat is Cherry Cobbler with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.


 I hope you like this silly little Grinch.  You can use it on tags or cards, scrapbook pages or treat bags! Fun!

Santa Punch Art

Hi everyone.  Many years ago, 2012, I made some candy bar wrappers that were very well liked.  I have gotten many requests for directions over the years and I ended up typing out some simple directions, but the punches that I used had been long retired and people couldn't buy them, so the directions didn't really do much good to anyone.  Well sure enough, around October this year, the requests started coming again and that old blog post came back to the top in my views.  I decided to take another look at the newer paper punches to see if I can make a new version using all current products.  So this is what I came up with.

This version uses the Best Badges punch for the head and beard, the double petal from the Festive Flower Builder punch, and ovals from the Layering Ovals framelits.
The small circles for the eyes and nose are from the Owl Builder punch.




I made a video how to that shows how I put this together.
