I love to paint and I often spend time using my stamping supplies as paint supplies, painting with my ink pads rather than get out my paints. The ink pads are right there on my desk and are fantastic to watercolor with, and I think I can honestly say that I paint something or other at least 5 days a week. I recently watched a tutorial online from Let's Make Art and we did a Wheat Field. It was super fun and I loved the look and I right away decided to make it into a card. I wanted the card to use stamps for the images because it would be easier to mass produce and it would be something I could share with my customers who might not want to try to free hand the wheat stalks. I searched my stamps and found that the Gather Together stamp set was perfect for this card. There are some nice sentiments as well as that wheat stalk.
Each card comes out a little bit different from the next and it is so fun to just watch the ink bleed into the paper and create this pretty sunrise, or maybe sunset! not sure!! But I am sure that it is beautiful!
Here is a video how to that shows you how to create this card step by step.
I would like to show you the painting that inspired the card. Hope you like it as well!
