It's MDS Blog hop time again! YEA! We hop the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. Our theme this week is Easter or Spring. I decided to put together a few Easter treats for the children who are in my Wednesday night religious ed class. I am the parent teacher for the kindergarten and pre-school children. I have used MDS (My Digital Studio) so many times to create treats and projects for the kids in my class. Here is what I will give them next Wednesday. I made a page in MDSand then turned them into treat holders.
Here is the page that I created. Once I printed the page out, I cut it into four parts, each 4 14 by 5 1/2.
To make the treat holder you need to roll your paper into a tube. I use Red Sticky tape to do this. Then add some sticky tape to each end. Close up one end, add your treats, then close up the other end. They couldn't be easier.
While I had the page already created, I decided to make a matching card to send out to some family as well. I made it a "Hybrid" card by adding an extra paper layer to the card.
I printed out the "He is not here, He is Risen" banners and cut them out with banner thinlits. These little thinlits are so fun. They have score lines in them so that you can easily fold them out and get that fun dimension. They come with the Label Card Thinlits Die, love it! I mounted my card fronts onto a Daffodil Delight layer, then onto a crumb cake base. The digital papers I used for the project are from the "This and That Epic day" download. The sun is from "Sunshine and Sprinkles". To learn how to make the Cross, you can visit my "Beth's Digital Cuts" page. I show you step by step how to edit a punch!
These are gorgeous!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow clever! I've always loved these little sour cream containers but I never would have thought to make my own DSP for them. So pretty Beth!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet gift (and card)!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Beth. The kids will love them too.
