Waves of Inspiration Simple to Super cards

Sometimes you have a little bit of time, or only a few supplies. Other times you have time to add more details or even use more supplies. Today I want to show a series of cards that take you from Simple versions to Super versions.

For this first card I only used the stamps, no die cuts.

I stamped the wave image with Misty Moonlight ink onto Balmy Blue cardstock. The pelican is stamped in Black Memento ink and colored with Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils. I matted the pelican with Misty Moonlight cardstock.

The bakers twine is from the 'Flowers for Every Season' ribbon combo pack. It has Misty Moonlight and White bakers twine wrapped with Silver thread.

On this next stepped up version, I added the Waves dies to the card. I used the dies to cut the pelican and the Happy Birthday sentiment.

For this final version, I added even more of the dies for the clouds and the birds. I also used ink and blending brushes to add a seaside sky behind the pelican.
