Simple favor box you need to know how to make

Hi Stamping Friends! Today I want to show you this nice little favor box. This box was demonstrated to us at Creativity Now, an event put on by Stampin' Up! for it's demonstrators.  I loved this box. It was so simple yet a great size and easily customizable with any papers, colors, sentiments, to fit your needs.

This first box is made with the Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper, a favorite of mine.  I added a little tag with a for you from the Beautiful Butterflies bundle. There are so many sets with for you or something similar. I loved the flower sprig in Gallery Blooms dies, so I used that in Crumb Cake and added some white to the tops and a Mossy Meadow fern from the same dies.

The box starts with an 11 by 4 piece of paper, so you can get 3 from a sheet of 12 x 12 designer paper.

Score the long sides at one inch (both sides) then turn and score at 2,3 and 7,8 inches. Fold along the score lines and snip the tabs.  You can glue the tabs or just allow the ribbon or belly band to keep the box closed. The box fits a lot, even a gift card if you put it on a slight angle.

There is a full video for this box here on my YouTube channel:

I made a few of these boxes. First I will show you the version from the Stampin' Up! event. It uses some new papers and stamps that are coming in the next Mini Catalog in September.

Here is one from the Perennial Lavender paper and the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set.

This next version uses the Wildly Flowering Designer Paper again, with a Wild Wheat pattern.  The For You is from Birthday Celebrations.

Check the video for some tips and tricks to putting it all together.  These boxes are so simple and customizable, you will make them all the time. Great for Wedding Favors, baby showers, office co-workers, teacher appreciation, you name it.

Design a Treat bundle

I love this little treat box maker bundle from Stampin' Up! Creating the different characters was really easy and super fun.  I used them at everyone's place for Stamp Camp this past Saturday and they were a hit. I meant to take photos of them individually but then I forgot and now I only have a bat left :)  oops! I was focused on getting ready for Stamp Camp I guess.  I did make a video as I put the second set together.

The catalog also shows this set as a bunny and I think there are so many other ways to use it as well. The possibilities are endless.

The die set comes with the main treat box die as well as some fun add ons to make your characters. I also really like the number dies. I can see those being used on many things, such as balloons with the birthday card receiver's age.

Gingerbread Kit Kats? YES Please!

Don't you love the seasonal candy that comes out each year? I usually look for any new Hersey Kiss flavors or wrapping colors to dictate what my treat packaging will look like. This year I found the new flavor to be a KitKat!   Gingerbread KitKat! How fun! We tried them and my daughter gave them a thumbs up.  Of course right away I knew that I needed to use the Gingerbread and Peppermint designer series paper for my packaging.

This treat box goes together so fast because the box is all done for you! These are the 3 1/8 by 3 1/8 Acetate Boxes. I just added a strip of the cute gingerbread paper to the back with a little more to fold over the top.  The pattern to the paper is super cute for cutting the zigzag edge. I used the Frosted Gingerbread stamp set for the tag.

See how to video for step by step directions and measurements.

Treat Packaging with the Gingerbread and Peppermint suite

Hi Everyone!  I am still playing around with the Gingerbread and Peppermint Suite. This time I am focusing on Treat Packaging.  I LOVE to bake and I always bake up a ton of cookies for Christmas to give to friends and family and neighbors.  The Gingerbread and Peppermint suite of products is PERFECT for treat packing, even if you are not making Gingerbread!

Today I thought I would show three different ways to package some cookies, from super simple to slightly more involved.

First up is a simple bag topper.  I used Stampin' Up! 6 by 8 cellophane bags.  To create the topper I cut a piece of Real Red Cardstock at 6 by 4 and scored it in half.  I then cut a piece of Basic White at 5 3/4 by 1 3/4 and stamped my sentiment on the right side. I embellished the topper with some cut out cookie images from the Gingerbread and Peppermint Designer Series Paper.

I love these Kraft boxes from Stampin' Up! The window is super cute for showing off what's inside and they come with the adhesive already on them so they are fast and easy to use. They are food safe too!  I added the 'icing' with Embossing Paste to add to the Gingerbread look.

Lastly I thought I would show how to dress up some inexpensive Take Out containers.  I bought these at the grocery store. They are super basic so I spruced them up with some Real Red Cardstock and embellishments from the Gingerbread and Peppermint Memories and More Pack.  This card pack is super cute with pieces perfect for treat giving and even recipe cards to add to the package.

The Gingerbread and Peppermint Memories and More pack has 6 card pieces, 4 sticker sheets and 6 cooling racks. Use them for scrapbook pages featuring Holiday baking, gingerbread houses and all round Christmas fun.

This suite is retiring and currently 'While Supplies Last' so act quickly.

Here is a how to video for the projects shown today.

Pineapple treat holder

Hi everyone! Today I want to show you a cute little treat holder, perfect for this pack of Pineapple gum or other fun little summer time candy.  I think these would be a great party favor for a beach themed party, retirement lunch, luau, or any time you just want to give a little something to a friend or coworker.
I made a quick video to show you the Timeless Tropical bundle and how to easily put this little favor together.

The Timeless Tropics bundle is in the Spring Mini catalog, which ends on June 2nd.  These products will carry over into the new Annual catalog, but they will no longer be sold as a bundle with a discount, so if these products are on your wish list, act now for the best price. The coordinating Tropical Oasis designer series paper will not be in the new Annual Catalog, so get that now while it is still available.
