Did you know that October 1st is World Card making day? It is! And its a great day to make and send a card to someone you are thinking about! I was reminded just this week how special it is to receive cards. My husband's father passed away recently and he received a couple cards in the mail, one from the hospice facility that was caring for his dad, and one from a member of the men's group at church. He was surprised to receive them and was really touched. He said 'you know, I think I'm a believer in this card sending thing.' Kinda funny coming from a man whose wife makes cards for a living, but these cards really touched him and he has them on his desk still a week later, Who can you send a card to? I bet there are lots of people who would love a little note just saying "Hi" or thinking of you! and of course, Happy Birthday!!
