By the Bay

Hi everyone.  I am participating in a card swap with a watercolor theme, so I am playing around with watercolor and stamps again.  This time I am using the By The Bay stamp set.  When I saw the little line of birds on this set it reminded me of an older stamp called 'Wetlands".  I remembered doing a wash background with that set so I searched my blog an I found a card I made in 2015 with this background and so I thought I would do it again with the new By the Bay set.
Adding a watercolor wash is super easy.  Here I used three colors, Crumb cake, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy.
I made a frame for my "painting" with the new Stitched Rectangle framelits.

I also added some watercolor behind the stamps, both inside and outside of the card.

 The braided linen trim seemed the perfect accent for this look.  I pulled the strands apart a bit for a distressed look.

The inside got a touch of watercolor too.
