Happiest of Birthdays

I received a card for my birthday a few months ago and it has been sitting on my desk since then because I knew I had to "case" it.   C.A.S.E, if you are not aware, means to Copy And Share Everything.  Some people say Copy And Selectively Edit or things like that, but it basically means using an idea you saw somewhere else to make your card.   I realy liked the card and playful patterned paper and even the stamp set used.  I finally got around to making one tonight because I just realised that I forgot to do a lot of August Birthdays!! My perpetual calander fell off the wall and slid behind my desk.  I didn't even notice it was missing until Facebook notified me of a Birthday and I was surprised that I didn't already have a card for this person.  So then I noticed my calander was gone and spent time looking for it and cleaning up my room a bit.  Then I noticed I has actually missed 6 August Birthdays not just one.  So I spent the day making birthday cards, which is a fun way to spend the day to me,  so that was good.

The Happiest of Birthday's Stamp set is a great set to add to your collection.  If you're like me, you will get a lot of use out of the 'late' stamp!  And the 'Wishing you the Happiest of Birthdays is big and bold and great for just about anything.  'It's your day' can be used for many occasions too! Graduations, promotions, and more.

The 'Playing with Patterns' Designer Series Paper is really great too. So many colors to choose from, patterns for young and old, male and female.  You will get a lot of use out of this paper.

Here is the Card I got in the mail from my friend Julia, I kept mine pretty much the same :)   Julia's card had the ribbon go all the way around the card, so you untied it to open the card, a fun way to close it, and especially good if you are enclosing something you don't want to fall out. I opted to add a layer popped up with dimentionals and slid the ribbon inbetween the two layers, so you didn't have to untie the bow.  I was also out of the dot patterns, so I went with the stripe.  Hope you like them!
