A couple more Art In Bloom cards

Sometimes when I work with a stamp set I just stamp a whole bunch of images, cut them out and start making cards with all the parts until I am out. I started to do that with the Art in Bloom bundle, but I found myself cutting more and more! I ran out of leaves, so I made more.  But then I had more leaves than I needed so I made more flowers.  On and on it went because coming up with ideas to use the flowers was so fun and easy.  I tried various colors and backgrounds and used every stamp in the set.  I thought I would share just a few more before moving on to another stamp set.

This first card uses a base of Pale Papaya and a Crumb Cake top layer.  I stamped the background in Versamark ink to get just a light shade of tone on tone color.  The flowers were stamped on Shimmery White cardstock and colored with Pale Papaya Stampin' Blends, the leaves are Just Jade.  In added some Linen Thread to compliment the Crumb Cake, and some Genial Gems for some shine.

On my next card I wanted to recess the flowers and pop up the embossed background a bit to show off the coordination of the Embossing Folder and dies. I used Flirty Flamingo cardstock for the base and top layer, sandwiching in a piece of Basic White in between.  I stamped the flowers through the opening before adding some dimentionals to pop up the top layer.  Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends were used to color the flowers, Just Jade on the leaves.   I needed a Thank You card for some customer orders, so I pulled a 'Thank You' stamp from a set on my desk called Sweet Ice Cream.  The Thank you is stamped on Blushing Bride cardstock.

For this card, I wanted to use the flowers and leaves without any coloring.  I cut the flowers from Polished Pink and added some sponging on top to really show off the embossed lines.  The leaves are Evening Evergreen and the flower centers are Blushing Bride.  I stamped a few rows of dots underneath before attaching the flowers to the Basic White card with Dimentionals.

Demonstrators got a sneak peak at some new products coming our way and there were some Gray and White rather than Black and White papers (how's that for a little tease?).  With that in mind I made this card by inking up the embossing folder with white ink before running it through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine with a piece of Basic Gray cardstock.  The detail of the Bloom Embossing Folder really shows up nicely.

With Gray and White still on my mind, I made another Gray Based card. This time I cut my top Smokey Slate layering piece in half on a diagonal and stamped in the cut out area.  I also stamped lightly in Versamark ink for some light patterns on the Smokey Slate before attaching it with Dimentionals. The flowers are colored with Flirty Flamingo and the leaves with Just Jade.  I added some silver accents with the Simply Elegant trim and some Metallic Pearls. The Vellum detail leaves add some softness.
