Butterfly Flight Decorative Masks!

Hi Stampin' Friends! Today I want to share a card that we made at my past Stamp Camp! This is a GORGEOUS new bundle from Stampin' Up! It is the Butterfly Flight bundle. This is meant to use with the new Hot Foil System, but the masks are also sold separately so even if you don't have the hot foil system, you can still use the masks. Below is the same card, one with gold foil and one without. I love them both!

The color combo I used for this card is Fresh Freesia, Berry Burst, Misty Moonlight and Secret Sea. When using the Hot Foil, the butterfly bodies are foiled. I used gold for this card. If you are not using the foil, then you need a color for the bodies, that is where I used the Secret Sea.

The Butterfly Flight bundle does not include any sentiments and works with any that you have in your collection. My Stamp Camp attendees seem to like Birthday Cards the best, so I brought along the Balloon Festoon stamp set for the Happy Birthday sentiment on the outside and Enjoy your day on the inside.

I couldn't get a good photo of the gold shimmer with the foil, but it is really pretty. The foil catches the light as you move the cards and gives a nice extra special luxe look to the card.

The version with out the foil is also really pretty and I can see reasons why this less blingy version would be desired as well. These are nice sized butterflies too! Perfect for scrapbook pages and home decor projects. I look forward to making butterflies with other color combinations. They are going to be fun!

Under My Wing stamp set

Hi Stampin' Friends! Today I want to share a card I made for a swap. I recently traveled to Michigan for a super fun demonstrator event and part of the event was a Shoebox Swap. If you have never heard of a Shoebox Swap, let me tell you what that is. Each person makes a finished card, and then makes up kits with all the pieces needed to recreate the card. We put it all in a shoebox type box with the inks, stamps and everything. Then we pass the boxes around the table so we each get to make one of each others cards. Fun! Here is the card that I brought.

This is the new Under My Wing stamp set. It is part of the September Online Exclusives Release. You can see the Online Exclusives here. I loved this stamp set right away because I love birds and I love to color. This set fits both of those loves!! I decided to watercolor my first card with the set. I used Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral, and Old Olive inks. See my full how to tutorial on YouTube for tips and tricks.

I kept the inside simple with a nice Thank you note. The Designer Papers I used for this card are from the Brushed With Beauty Designer Series Paper collection.

I am sure I will try this stamp out with other colors and mediums. Next up I think watercolor pencils!

More Scalloped Fun

Last week I showed you the fun flowers that were made with the Scalloped Blooms dies and so today I thought I would share two more projects that I made with them.

These two projects were made with the Bloom Boutique Suite of products. This Suite is so pretty with lovely little floral papers and pretty stamps. I made these projects for Stamp Camp last week. At stamp camp we make 4 cards and 1 treat holder. sometimes I create a fun box or bag for the treat holder but it was a busy back to school week and I pressed the easy button and used the Scalloped Window Boxes for the treat holder. These are so nice because they are easy to put together, already scored and ready to go, and they don't need any adhesive! Yay!

The box is food safe, so you can put some homemade treats or chocolates or whatever you like inside. They are also big enough for some non food things. The box features a window and I didn't want to cover that up, so I used the Scalloped Blooms dies to create another window in a piece of Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper. I held onto the cut out piece to use on the card. We also used the Scalloped Blooms dies to create some little flowers and a tag to add to the front. I used Crisp Cantaloupe, Barely Blush and Peaceful Pine cardstock for the flowers and leaves and a touch of gold was added with some gold foil paper on the little flower centers.

I added some Crisp Cantaloupe ribbon under the tag and a touch of shimmer with the Crisp Cantaloupe Shimmer Brush to the center of the larger flower. I have a video for this box on my YouTube channel.

To make the card I used the cut out scallop from the box and layered it on another larger scallop cut from Barely Blush cardstock.

I stamped the smaller flowers from the Heirloom Boutique stamp set randomly across the base of the Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock with Crisp Cantaloupe ink. This tone on tone look is a nice addition without being too busy. On a scrap of Basic White cardstock I stamped the flower images and then cut them out with the dies. The flowers were colored with Stampin' Blends in Hydrangea Hue, Crisp Cantaloupe, Barely Blush and Peaceful Pine. I used a Golden Glow Shimmer Brush to color the flower centers. The sentiment is stamped on a piece of Barely Blush in Basic Black. I used some Barely Blush ribbon behind the sentiment.

You can't go wrong with this suite of products. The coordination is beautiful and the colors are so nice, everything you make with this suite is going to be lovely. See the whole suite here.
