Freezing Fun Stamp Set

 

I know it's a little early for Winter cards, but I couldn't wait to play around with the Freezing Fun stamp set.  I love the cute little animals having fun in the snow.

I made this card of a penguin throwing snowballs for a card swap that I am in.  

The base of this card is Pool Party.  I used Stampin' Blends in Pool Party and Shaded Spruce to color in the tree and scarf.  The penguin is Dark Smoky Slate.  

What doesn't show well in the photos is the added Shimmery Crystal Effects that I added to the snow on the tree and the snowballs.  The Shimmery Crystal Effects give some added dimension to the snow and a nice sparkle. 

The sentiment is perfect for these times we are in, I wish I was able to have more fun together with my friends, but for now, I will keep sending happy mail and spreading the love that way :)   I made a video for this card, check it out! 

I wasn't sure if I liked the Pool Party hat and scarf or if it needed more color, so I made another version using Poppy Parade to match the heart.   This photo shows the inside of the card as well.

There are coordinating dies to cut out the images, as well as an additional heart, stars and landscape dies.

Beautiful Autumn Stamp set and punches

                                                                                                                    

 Anytime a stamp set has a matching paper punch, I am unable to resist.  The Beautiful Autumn bundle was no exception, I bought it on my first order from the new Fall/Holiday catalog.  I love fall, so the leaves and papers in the Gilded Autumn suite are exactly the sort of products I enjoy using this time of year.   

I made this card by first making a mask with a Heart shaped die from the Stitched Be Mine dies and a post it note. I then used my post it note heart as a stencil to sponge the background of the card in Cajun Craze.  Before removing the stencil I also stamped the small leaves. 

I stamped the small leaves and acorns on scraps of Cajun Craze, Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake. Some of them I embossed in Gold. I punched them all out with the Autumn Punch Pack. 

I used the Gilded Autumn Designer series paper for the strips, and some linen thread for a bow.

I hope that you like this technique, it would work with so many stamps and die shapes.

Today's The Day!! The new Fall/Winter mini catalog is now live! check it out!

I love the Fall/Winter catalog each year, and this year is no exception. 

There are a few things I always look for in this catalog, snowflakes, fall leaves, plaid, a pretty religious Christmas set, and treat holder stamps.  This catalog ha all of that and more!  There are new punches, new papers and so many new Stamps and dies. I am sure you will find something to love.

I made a pair of videos to walk you through the catalog so you don't miss a thing.  I broke the video into two parts, a Fall/Halloween video and a Winter/Christmas video.  Take a look, I am sure you will find some favorites.

New Stampin' Up! Customer Website

Beginning August 4th at 7:00 AM (MT) Stampin' Up! is bringing you a new and improved online shopping experience!

There are quite a few improvements that you'll really like. Improved Navigation

It’s easier to find what you are looking for with navigation menus that expand. For example, the image shows what happens if you select “Stamps” from the Featured Products section. You can then narrow down your search by Season, and then refine it even more with a specific season.

Improved Filtering

When you are shopping you’ll see Filter By in the menu on the left.

You can Filter By several options including size, price, product type, occasion, color, etc.

Wish List & Favorites List

You can also add items to a new list or Wish List from the quick view page, not just the individual product page. You could track product you already have on hand.

Filter & Sort by Color

If you click on the Shop By Color link you’ll see every color listed. Click on the color to see the products available in that color.
