Display Stamper Application

Hi everyone! One of my favorite things about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is going to events and stamping with Friends. Is that two things? Well, they go hand in hand.  We always stamp at a Stampin' Up! event of course, and it's all about being with friends.  One of the biggest events is OnStage and it is held twice a year all over the globe.  I will be attending the event in Milwaukee in April.  Stampin' Up! puts out a call for Display Stampers to help make the many display boards that will be up for inspiration.  I think it is so much fun to be a part of the group of Display Stampers and so once again I am applying to do that.   We need to submit 3 cards, 2 3D projects and 1 scrapbook page.  Here is what I made...
I decided to use mostly new products for my projects, couldn't help myself, and so you are getting some sneak peeks at what's ahead for Sale-a-Bration and the new Spring Occasions catalog!
this beautiful stamp is from the new Heartfelt Blooms set in the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  Isn't that a beautiful stamp? And it's one stamp, not many layers.  So pretty and so easy!!

Next up, also from Sale-a-Bration, is the Beautiful Peacock stamp set.  I fussy cut the extra 'feathers' for more dimension and used gold embossing on the birds body.

This third card is also from the Sale-a-Bration catalog and it is called Party Pandas.  The pandas are just adorable and I know you will be seeing a lot of them in the coming weeks and months.  The envelope is new, in the occasions catalog and it is a new note card set called 'Whisper White Narrow Note Cards and Envelopes. 20 for $8.00, and such a fun size.

I didn't use the note card that came with the envelope, I will use that on another project. Instead I made this fun card that makes the panda fly into the air as you open it.

My first 3D project is a fun tea holder. I used the Just Add Color designer series paper and water-colored the image in Lemon Lime Twist and Fresh Fig.  The fun little container holds some tea that amazing matches the project!
The Just Add Color designer series paper is sturdy enough to hold up to watercolor, Blender Pens, Stampin' Blends, markers, and the watercolor pencils.

Next up is this fun project using the Apron of Love bundle.  This set is so cute and there are adorable little dies shaped like spatulas and whisks and every thing for baking or a bar-b-que.   I have to say though that my favorite of the dies is the little scissors!!  Paper and scissors, two of my  favorite things!  Look for this bundle in the up coming Occasions catalog beginning January 3rd.

Lat, but certainly not least, is my scrapbook page of my little Zachary.  We were at the Morton Arboretum and he just loved exploring and running around.  I used Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide as my colors, with just a splash of Cherry Cobbler.  I added some warmth with the Wood Textures Designer Series paper.  The stamps for this page are from the Remarkable You stamp set. I stamped onto Shimmery White cardstock with Basic Black Archival ink, then used my Aqua Painters to add color to the image.

I hope that you like my projects today.  Over the next week I will focus on them individually and give you instructions and supply lists, so please check back.  I know some of you have already received the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration catalogs, because I have been hearing about your favorites!   Let me know if you didn't get yours, or if you don't have a demonstrator and are new to me, I am happy to send you one.  You can click the contact me button under my blog header and let me know.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!  Be sure to check out the Retiring list and Clearance rack for some great end of year deals going on RIGHT NOW.  Click here to shop!

  1. Love your projects! I gotta hope you will provide us with directions soon to your tea bag holder I love giving tea to friends - especially a new flavor for them to try. How funny, I have some of the green tea and I drink more of the English Breakfast tea by the same company and never really noticed the color of the packages. I need to check out that teapot to color on the paper as I had not noticed it before. To think I thought I was a bit more observant! The apron is so cute too and I can see me using that set a lot. The pandas are just too cute also. This would be fun as a bookmark. The first card is stunning and I have seen some great cards made with that stamp. Looking forward to the instructions and supply list for all your projects. Happy holidays!

    1. Hi Chris,
Thanks for all your comments. I am glad you like my projects. I will do the instructions for the tea holder first since it is available now, whereas the others are all from the occasions catalog or Sale-a-Bration. It's really simple. I hope to get a chance to do it on Tuesday.
Happy Holidays to you as well!
