I needed a sympathy card this week and wanted something with a pretty but soft look. I had the Uniquely Artistic stamp set on my desk and really liked the look of that long leaf branch. I choose some colors that I think are very pale and yet also very fresh looking. I used Soft Sea Foam, Pale Papaya and Polished Pink.
In keeping with the Soft theme, I used Blending brushes with the Emboss Resist technique for the branch. To do this technique you need to emboss your image with either white or clear embossing powder, I used clear, and then sponge or brush over the embossed image with ink.
For the flower I stamped in Pale Papaya ink and used a cotton swab (q-tip) to apply Polished Pink to the center before stamping onto the basic white cardstock.
The sentiment is stamped in Basic Gray on Pale Papaya Cardstock with a White Crinkled Seam-biding Ribbon bow tucked in behind.
I used Iridescent Rhinestones to add some sparkle.
