Easy Gift bag Tags and note cards

 

Hello everyone. Today I would like to share an easy project for gift tags or small note cards. I make up small 'Welcome Bags' for the church I attend. They hand them out to visitors and they contain small things like a mug or pen/notebook, tea and chocolates or things like that.  I change up how I decorate the bags based on the season or what I have on hand. 

This week I needed to make up some more and I had the Regency Park paper pack on my desk. I grabbed some retired yellow ribbons and the Petal Park bundle and got to work.  

I first stamped the flowers and leaves onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock with Mango Melody and Shaded Spruce ink.  I then used a Blender Pen to color the rest of the images in. 

I stamped the word 'Welcome' from the Garden Birdhouses stamp set on to a tag made with the Tailor Made Tags dies.  I added the flowers and leaves to the tag and attached to my bag. 

 

 

To make the note cards I used a piece of 6x3 Basic White cardstock, scored at 3 and folded in half. I attached a strip of Regency Park Designer Series paper to one side and added my flowers and leaves.  To decorate the 3x3 envelope, I used a scrap of Regency Park designer series paper glued to the flap of the envelope and cut to match the flap.  I love decorating the envelopes this way as it uses up some scraps and looks super fancy. 

 

 

The Petal Park stamps and paper punch are so easy to use and I am certain I will get a lot of use out of them!

Pretty Gift bag!

Hello everyone!  Today I am sharing a gift bag that I made.  I love to make little gift bags and with Teacher Appreciation just around the corner I thought I would experiment with a few.   The new Botanical Builder Framelit Dies as so great for adding floral accents, I love the cut out petals.

This bag is super easy.  You make a simple base, whatever size you want, and add the sides, how ever tall you want.  Super customizable!  I made this base 5 by 2 1/2 in Basic Black.  Score a half an inch around all four sides.  Snip the little tabs at the sides and fold them up.






This little tray type piece will form the bottom of your bag.

Next choose your paper for the sides.  I added tear tape to the bottom and up one side.   I cut mine at 12 by 4 1/4.







Start in the center of the back and carefully wrap the paper around the base.
















 You will end with a bag like this.

I then cut 4 strips 12 by 1/2 inches, two for the handles and two as trip for the top and bottom of the bag.







I used tear tape to adhere the trim and the handles.

I cut several flowers with the Botanical Builder Framelit dies.  I used a bone folder to curl some of the petals slightly and layered some centers.

For this bag I chose Watermelon Wonder and Blushing Bride.

This bag uses Bermuda Bay and Pool Party, with a tiny accent of Crushed Curry.

Ballet Class Gift

Hello everyone!  I thought I would share the cards and gift bag I made for Jillian's Ballet class.  I made these projects with the soon to be retired  Sparkly Season stamp set. 
I bought this stamp set right away with ballet class in mind, but I have since used it for Halloween and I will be making some nutcracker cards in the future I am sure. 

I adhered my tag to a Petite Cafe Bag.  I love this cute little bags.  Inside is a gift card as well as a bunch of hair bands ( the class is constantly forgetting to put their hair into a ponytail for class and the teacher has a jar of them on her desk, which gets empty fast, so I am helping to replenish the supply) and some chocolate. 

Did you catch the new product?  Blushing Bride Glimmer paper!! and let me tell you, it is so gorgeous in real life!! It will be available in the new spring mini catalog that starts January 5th!
