Birthday Scrapbook page

My wonderful Grandmother just turned 99 years old recently! I am so blessed to have her in my life and even in the lives of my children.  She has 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren! For this page I decided to make a Birthday Cake.  I made it match the cake in the picture and used the Icing on the Cake stamp set.  The images are exactly like frosting.
I used the Metallic Sequins pack, but only picked out the white and gold.

The stamps are photopolymer, so they are super easy to line up and get just right.

Here are some samples from the catalog! So fun! I love to bake, so I just love this stamp set.

I used the smaller leaf stamped in Daffodil Delight with a small line of  Tangerine Tango for the flame on my candle.

Happy Day! Perfectly Wrapped Stamp set

Hi everyone!! Today I would like to share a cute scrapbook page!  The photo was from the last day of school for Jillian and Zachary.  Zachary has sure grown a lot since the beginning of the year! There was not such a big height difference at the beginning of the school year!

I wanted to use my new InColor collection this week so I was happily surprised to notice that my daughter's skirt seems to have been commissioned by Stampin' Up! to match them! And my son got seems to be in the spirit with his blues and greens!  I decided to stick to three colors and went with Peekaboo Peach, Emerald Envy and Dapper Denim.

I was looking over my brand new stamps and noticed the set Perfectly Wrapped, which is meant to pair with a packaging kit.  I love packaging type kits and party favor type projects so I bought this set right away, but as I looked at it I realized that it is perfect for scrapbook pages as well.  The Happy Day is a great size for a title, and the circle makes a great frame.
The flowers are in multiple sizes for backgrounds or focal points.

There is are even little dotted lines that are great for journaling!! See, it's a scrapbook set, they just didn't know it!!

Thanks for stopping by!

National Scrapbooking Day!

Hi Everyone!  Did you know it was National Scrapbooking Day?  Well it is and so i thought that I would share a couple recent pages I made.  This one was made for the Stampin' Up! blog!  It uses the "Happiness Is" Project Life By Stampin' Up! card collection and accessory pack.

The Accessory Pack has fun stickers and cork letters.

You can also use the cards with out the pocket pages if that is more your style.  I like to do it all and so my scrapbooks have pocket pages and traditional page and digital pages all mixed in together.  There is no wrong way to scrapbook! Well, let me change that, the only wrong thing would be to not add journaling!  I think that while a picture is worth a thousand words, a bit of journaling is the way to go.  You may not be around when someone is looking at the book and so that funny little story that goes with the picture will not be told, and its those funny little stories that the kids will treasure.

The Project Life by Stampin' Up! cards all use Stampin' Up! colors so you can add ribbon or cardstock to customize your pages just the way you like them.  AND  most of  the current Project Life collections are on sale because the catalog year is almost over.  You can get the card collections and accessory packs at 50% off right now while supplies last!! Such a deal!
Thanks for stopping by!!

my little artist

Hello everyone. First let me apologize for the photo, it is hard to take photos of 12 x 12 pages! At least it is for me.  I will figure it out sooner or later but for now this is as good as it gets :)
This is my oldest son, now 13!  He has been painting and drawing since he was able to hold a crayon.   Love that!  It's great when you share a hobby with your kids and they really take to it.  All three of my children love to draw and paint and just create in general.
Does the layout look familiar? it is from the Sale-a-Bration catalog!  And we used it a couple weeks ago at MDS Monday!

The stamps I used are also from the Sale-A-Bration catalog in a set called "Best Day Ever" and it is free with a $50 order.  But, Sale-a-Bration ends tomorrow :(

heart punch and matching button with coordinating bakers twine.  I love that Stampin' Up! offers coordinating papers and embellishments is such a wide variety.  Makes me a happy girl!

I sued the ticket punch to make this little tab.  The stamps are clear and I find them so easy to place.  The "you" is actually a bigger stamp that says "you made my day".  I just used markers to ink up the "you" and added it after the heart.

Thanks for stopping by!  check out yesterdays post for details on the end of Sale-A-Bration!! You have one more day!

More Little Letters Thinlits Die projects

I thought I would share another page I made this week with the Little Letters Thinlits Dies.  They are just so fun and easy.

This page is so simple so there is not really anything to explain, so I will just show you a close up of my cutie!  Can't believe he is now a teenager!!  Isn't that a sweet smile! Love him!

Little Letters Thinlit Dies from Stampin' Up!

Hi Everyone!  Are you surprised to see a paper scrapbook page? It has been a while since I have shared one with you!  I admit, I have been making a lot more digital pages than paper pages.  I have a lot of photos from before I had a digital camera, so my intention has always been to make traditional paper pages or Project Life pages with the older photos, and then make digital pages with the newer photos.  But, Digital is less messy and I tend to keep up with those and not work on the older photos.  Stampin' Up's announcement to discontinue the digital line made me decide to make a few paper pages this week, although I will never stop making the digital pages, I just love them too much!!
I decided to use my Little Letters Thinlit Dies, which I purchases about a year ago for the sole purpose of making page titles.  I have used them many times on cards, but not for scrapbook pages, too funny.  I love that my Stampin' Up! products are so versatile!  These little letters are not too big, so they work nicely on cards and pages! On this page I actually used the negative space left behind when the letters are cut out.  I saved the letters in a baggie with a bunch of other left over letters and numbers.   I used the magnetic platform to line up the dies, I  really love that platform but every once and a while the magnets and the dies just don't want to co-operate.  This happened when I went to cut out the word "sun".  I just used a bit of washi tape to hold it in place while I ran the dies through the Big Shot.

I used dimentionals to pop up the cardstock from the layer underneath.  I like the shadow that this creates on the title.  I always save the edges from the dimentionals for little areas like this.

Isn't that a fun title?

I used the File Folder Edgelit dies to create my date tab.

I hope you like my project today!  Those little letters are so great.  I am sure you will find many uses for them.
