Nothing's Better Than....Painting with Real Coffee!

Hi Everyone! Today I am sharing a new Stamp set called "Nothing's Better Than". This is such a fun set. There are a few choices of things to use to finish that sentence, such as Coffee, Cookies, Chocolate and Cocktails. For this first group of cards I went with my personal favorite, Coffee!
And, for more fun, I used Real Coffee to paint my backgrounds.
The Nothing's Better Than stamp set has some really cute sentiments to mix and match. There are also dies to cut out the images, as well as word dies!

I made a video to show how to use the various sentiments to create some fun cards. I also show how to use real coffee to create the background.

The colors I used on my cards are Just Jade and Flirty Flamingo. I think together they have a sort of retro diner feel. I hope you like them! And I hope that you will check out the Nothing's better than bundle!

Coffee Cafe stamp set, Painted with Real Coffee

Hi Everyone! I have a fun little card to share today. I was super happy to see a coffee set in the new annual catalog and of course I had to add it to my first order. I am a Coffee addict! I have painted with coffee before, and knew I wanted to do it again with this new set. The card even smells like coffee! Fun!
I started by stamping very lightly in crumb cake, then used a coffee paint I had made earlier. To make the coffee paint, I added the last bit of coffee from the pot to a small watercolor paint pallet. You can use a Styrofoam egg carton, a small saucer, ramekin, whatever. Let it dehydrate, then add some more with your next mornings coffee. Do this for a few days and in the end you will have a little paint pot to use like a watercolor.

I love to watercolor, and using coffee is just another fun way to do it. I first tried this in an adult art class I take while the kids are at school. Shown here is a bigger coffee painting, and a little coffee comic I made in class last year.
