Falling Leaves

Hello everyone!  Have you noticed some of the leaves changing color? I saw a really pretty orange tree just yesterday!  Love it!  And I love leaf stamps and fall colors so this card makes me happy.
I used Tangerine Tango and Delightful Dijon on this card, as well as touches of black on a vanilla base.

I started by making a stencil out of a piece of acetate and the leaflet dies.  I then used sponge daubers to color in my stencil image.

I added the black leaves on top of the sponged leaves.  I also added a bit of black around the edges of the sentiment piece.

To get the extra Tangerine Tango mat, I simply punched out an extra tag piece and cut it in half to make it appear longer, and glued the pieces on the back.

Weekly Deals

Hi Everyone! Check out today's Weekly Deals.  I grabbed a couple of them, the gold ribbon and the gold glitter, Christmas is coming and those will be great to have on hand.  I also picked up the stamp set, Remarkable You.  I've had my eye on it since the catalog came out, but it was a bit on the pricier side so I kept putting that one off for later. Well, later has finally come! Yea!  If you haven't seen that stamp in real life, let me just say that the flowers are larger than most, and I think this will be a great stamp for a lot of technique cards.   Limited quantities are available at the sale price. Contact me with any questions!

Happy "Howl-O-Ween"

Hello everyone!  Today I would like to share a fun Halloween card.  I saw a fun version of this with a mummy breaking through a card and looked through my Halloween stamps to see what sort of image I had that would work for something bursting through the card.  The only thing Halloweeny I had was this owl (which I really like by the way, owls are so cute!)

It was really pretty simple, I just used an Exacto knife to make a small hole where I wanted the owl to be, and I just started tearing the paper from there. The sample I saw on line used a quilling tool to roll the paper away from the center of the hole, but I when I did that I thought that it looked too clean.  Tearing was super fast and it looks like the owl tore his way through. Here is a link to the fun mummy card and tutorial on Splitcoaststampers. I love that site for its huge amount of samples!  I  have a gallery there if you care to check it out.

Look at this fun new Black glimmer paper!  Love it!!

This fun stamp set has a matching framelit set which includes dies to cut out all the images as well as the word "Boo!"
If you buy the stamps and the dies as a bundle you save 15%!

Acorny Thank you!

Hello everyone! Today I thought I would share a fun new Bundle from the Holiday Catalog.  This bundle has a stamp and a matching paper punch, a combo I just love!
I used paper from the Into the Woods collection. Colors used were Soft Suede, Hello Honey, Rich Razzleberry and Tangelo Twist.

I love that you can mix and match little acorn toppers and bottoms to make really fun projects.

I cut a hole through the front two layers of the card, so that the acorns are actually adhered to the inside of the card.  I cut through the two layers with a die from the Circles collection framelits, but I  did not glue it down because I wanted to pop it up with dimentionals and add the glimmer paper in between.

The Glimmer paper circle was made by using the next size up and the next size down from the circle I used for the card front.

I glued the Glimmer paper down, then added the wood patterned paper on top with dimensionals.

I also made a matching candy holder.  This is made with a 7 1/2 by 2 inch piece of cardstock punched with your favorite tag topper punch.

Hope you like it!  And thanks for stopping by!!
